Making gold through professions creates this new form of endgame content for you to enjoy when you have nothing else to do inWorld of Warcraft: Dragonflight. Having too much gold is never a bad thing, but the main issue is turning your gathering and crafting professions into as much profit as possible.
Not all professions are equal when it comes to gold-making. Some professions are better than others because some might even lose you some gold if you get into them. Here’s a comprehensive list of the best professions you should get into for gold-making in World of Warcraft Dragonflight.

Unlimited
Yes, and quite tedious
The Mining and Herbalism professions, when combined, give the best amount of raw materialsyou can provide to a server’s economy. The law of supply and demand applies greatly to the viability of Mining and Herbalism here.

When the server and patch are fresh, the demand increases, and gold makers from Mining and Herbalism professions get a ton of profit for their time.
For the Mining profession,Illimited Diamonds and Rousing Essences provide a good chunk of your income. Specializing in Mining Process and taking Surveying as a subspecialization is the key to increasing your profits even more.

For the Herbalism profession, random herbs and Rousing Essence make up 100 percent of your income. Herbalism doesn’t have that one big item like the Illimited Diamond from Mining that could give you a boost to your income so its earning potential is comparatively lower.
The only reason you are getting Herbalism is that you are already moving around the map for resources. You might as well get both herbs and ores as you go around the Dragon Isles. The yield from ores and herbs takes a lot of time to multiply. Once you havemaxed out your endgame specializations, your gold per hour will increase exponentially.

Never mix Skinning with Mining or Herbalism. You don’t have time to mine or herb resources while finding mobs to skin at the same time. It is inefficient. Skinning is great for gold-making when you have one crafting profession, preferably Leatherworking. Join a 2x4 premade group for an efficient Skinning farm if you want some gold in this profession.
High with little to no risks

Yes, but you are having fun
For hardcore M+ dungeon spammers and raiders,Enchanting is by far the best gold-making profession. By turning all your unwanted gear into Chromatic Dust, Vibrant Shards, Resonant Crystals, and a ton of Rousing and Awakened Elements, you are essentially getting thousands of gold for getting loot you don’t need.

This heavily depends on how frequently you run dungeons and raids. Considering the length of playing dungeons and raids, you’ll never make enough gold per hour as the previous gathering professions mentioned. But, gathering resources isn’t all that fun compared to running dungeons and raids, right?
Apart from the “free” resources you get from getting gear, you can also craft one of the most wanted enchants, the Sophic Devotion.
Everyone needs the Sophic Devotion enchantment on their weapons. It provides their main stat soevery class and specialization would want the enchant on their weapon. Hypothetically, if someone gets an upgrade on their weapon, they’ll have to use another enchant.
In this case, a single player progressing through the M+ tiers and raids will need two or three Sophic Devotion enchants for their gear. They also might have alts that would need enchants on their weapons and undergo the same process.
The demand for this top-tier enchant will never disappear, giving you a very consistent way of earning gold through Enchanting.
High
No, but it requires some investment
Jewelcrafting falls in the same boat as Enchanting. Top-tier gems will always be in demand and players will need three or more gems for their character. The neck slot alone has a total of three sockets.
If you don’t have a socket on your neck, you can add a total of three sockets with three Tiered Medallion Settings. Guess who makes the Tiered Medallion Settings? Yup, that’s the Jewelcrafter’s job. In total, players need three Tiered Medallion Settings and three top-tier gems.
If someone ever changes your neckpiece, they will need another three Tiered Medallion Settings.
Blacksmithing isn’t all that different from other forms of gear crafting professions. However, with the resurgence of the Retribution Paladins and Arms and Fury Warriors,Blacksmithing is by far the best gear crafting profession.
Almost everyone is running Paladins and Warriors because of the exclusive legendary weapon in the Amirdrassil raid. Everyone who isn’t a Paladin or Warrior will create alts to experience the buff of this legendary weapon. They’ll need the gear and you are here to craft it for them.
This all sounds too good, but there are some mandatory requirements. To maximize the profits from your crafts, you need to learn the recipes, max out your profession, upgrade your specialization, and capitalize on increasing your Resourcefulness stat.
Resourcefulness gives you a chance to save some materials from your crafts, which is the biggest part of your profit. In some cases, if you don’t have the right amount of Resourcefulness, you’ll lose gold from crafting.
It’ll take a lot of time and commitment to max out your Blacksmithing, but the returns are all worth it. In the meantime, you can level it up by finishing profession quests, crafting low gear, and finishing public work orders. Some recipes unlock afterearning reputation from specific factionsso you can grind these as well. This goes for every profession in Dragonflight.
you may watch something else while fishing
Cooking is a secondary profession that every player can learn regardless of their primary profession. However, the resources needed for cookingheavily rely on another secondary profession, Fishing, and meat farming from animals scattered around the Dragon Isles.
Most players use any form of food as buffs for their dungeon and raid runs. Raiding guilds also make them mandatory for their guild members or, in some cases, they even provide the food or feasts themselves.
Since getting meat resources or fish is an extremely tedious task, this is a gold-making opportunity to be the provider of all the food in the market.
Level up your cooking and farm the fish yourself, so everything is profitable. If the price of the fish or meat is higher than the crafting cost of food, you just sell the raw resources for cooking.
Remember, if a player dies, they will lose their food buff and they have to eat another one again.
No, but you need some locked recipes
Alchemy has been one of the most profitable gold-making professions since the early days of World of Warcraft. Remember that daily transmutation of Living Steel to craft the coveted Sky Golem mount? We have that again in the form of the Dracothyst transmute.
The Dracothyst isn’t needed to craft any mount, butit is the main resource needed to make any Dream Crafted gearin World of Warcraft Dragonflight. Enchanters use a Dracothyst to craft Dreaming Crests. These Dreaming Crests help Enchanters earn profits from players needing a high item level Dream Crafted gear.
Apart from the Dracothyst,Alchemists craft potions and phials as consumables for dungeon and raiding. These potions and phials do countless things such as increasing your DPS output, healing, emergency mana, offering another secondary stat buff, and more.
These potions and phials act the same way as food where everyone needs them for finishing dungeon and raid content. In short, everyone needs itand you are here to provide them with the consumables and make profits.
In most WoW expansions, the use of Alchemy is only relevant up to this point, but in Dragonflight, Alchemists can craft amazing trinkets as well.
