There are many factions inPalworld, including the Free Pal Alliance. Each one has its own beliefs and base of operations, leading to complicated relationships with the other factions on the Palpagos Islands. The leaders of these groups take charge and guard the towers in each region, and while you won’t see them on the mainland, their influence can be felt.
The leader of the Free Pal Alliance is Lily Everhart, who is a strong believer in treating Pals well. Her background and beliefs play a vital role in how the Free Pal Alliance operates. Here’s everything you need to know about her.
Lily Everhart’s Background
Lily is a passionate young woman who reveres Pals. She believes they are noble beings that have upheld civilization since the ancient days of the Palpagos Islands. In turn, she believes that humans are the true monsters due to their violent and insatiable nature. Humans take more than they need and develop well beyond their means, capturing and using Pals as a labor force to serve them.
Her belief that Pals and humans were meant to work alongside each other as equals drives her actions, leading her to condemn the use of Pal Spheres. This has guided her hand to enforce the five traditional commandments of the Free Pal Alliance:
These commandments put Lily and the Free Pal Alliance in direct conflict with several of the other factions, but she firmly believes in them and will punish those who break them.
A Blossoming Friendship With Lyleen
Lily has a unique bond with Lyleen, the queen of lilies. Unlike all the other faction leaders and Pal tamers, Lily does not use a Pal Sphere to summon Lyleen. Instead, Lyleen appears when Lily needs her to defend the tower. The two formed an unbreakable friendship during a harrowing event.
While Lily was out in the fog walking along the berry fields in the forest, she heard the sounds of poachers on the hunt. She investigated and found the poachers attempting to catch a massive Pal that resembled a vivid lily flower. Entranced by Lyleen’s beauty and elegance, Lily was moved to take action.
She fought the poachers and destroyed all the Pal Spheres they brought. After piercing the poachers' hearts and dodging their attacks, Lily retreated to her base so that she wouldn’t taint Lyleen’s petals with her bloodstained hands. However, when she arrived, the queen of lilies was waiting for her.
Lyleen reached out and healed Lily’s wounds as thanks, and Lily has faithfully served her ever since. The two have formed an unbreakable bond and work together for the betterment of Pals.
Connection To The PIDF
Despite the problems the Free Pal Alliance has with just about every faction and their use of Pals, Lily made a deal with the PIDF officers to protect specific Wildlife Sanctuaries that are scattered across the archipelago. These islets house Pals that are not found on the mainland, save for a few found in specific dungeons.
Lily doesn’t know why they exist there, but understands the deep importance of those Pals and that they must be protected at all costs. Afraid of poachers infiltrating the sanctuaries, Lily pays the PIDF to station officers there and keep them safe.
She worries that these Pals may go extinct, and thus pays a hefty sum of money to the PIDF officers for protection. As for where the money comes from, Lily knows that members of the Free Pal Alliance have a way to make ends meet.
While the pretense is that they slay poachers and take their profits, Lily suspects that they are involved in something else to pay the PIDF fees.
