Aries - Retsuko (March 21 - April 19)
Aries are independent, determined, and passionate people; this sums up Retsuko if you look past the accountants' facade. While she may be diligent in her work and come across as an unassuming coworker, below the surface, a fire roars. She’s energetic, has quite a temper, and is somewhat neurotic. This is evidenced by the fact she listens to death metal.
Fun Fact:Retsuko’s name is a portmanteau of the words “rage” and “Tsuko,” which is a common Japanese name ending. A little too on the nose, but fun nevertheless!
Taurus - Pompompurin (April 20 - May 20)
Those born under the sign of Taurus are known for their reliability, steadfast nature, and love for the simple pleasures in life. Pompompurin can be counted on for his simple pleasure in life: caramel pudding.
He’s also easygoing and has a laidback demeanor (have you ever tried to anger a Taurus? It takes some effort). He can also make friends with practically anyone, but most of the time you’ll find him taking a nap.
Fun Fact:Did you know that Pompompurin’s birthday is April 16th? This makes him an actual Taurus.
Gemini - Cinnamoroll (May 21 - June 20)
Geminis are very social, outgoing, and enjoy communicating with everyone. Unsurprisingly, Cinnamoroll wants to create meaningful connections with everyone he meets. It’s also not a surprise that he occasionally takes naps on customers' laps, is soft-spoken so as not to upset anyone, and goes on adventures to make new friends.
Fun Fact:Cinnamoroll can fly by flapping his large ears. He also looks a lot like Pikachu in this image, if Pikachu wasvery brieflyput in a dyer and then taken out almost immediately.
Cancer - My Melody (June 21 - July 22)
Close relationships and family are significant to those born under the Cancer Zodiac sign, and My Melody can attest to that. She cares very much about her mom, brother, and friends.
She often advises those she deems need it (and most of the time, they don’t, but she doesn’t know because she’s terrible at reading the room). You could say she’s blissfully ignorant but in a happy, reasonable way.
Fun Fact:My Melody was born in the forest of Mariland. Also, her favorite food is almond pound cake.
Leo - Hello Kitty (July 23 - August 22)
Leos are naturally charismatic and confident and have no problem assuming a leadership role.Hello Kittyis much like this. She enjoys trying new things and being surrounded by her friends, but she also loves being in situations where she can show off her talents. It’s no wonder her friends are drawn to her: Leos have a charming personality and a kind of warmth about them that people simply can’t resist.
Fun Fact:Contrary to popular belief, Hello Kitty is actually a human girl, not a cat. Does that makeusthe cats here? Also, her full name is Kitty White, and she was born in the suburbs of London. Posh.
Virgo - Keroppi (August 23 - September 22)
Virgos are very practical people who enjoy being organized and love nothing more than solving problems. Keroppi uses these traits to get along with his siblings and friends. It’s probably why he enjoys sports: analyzing the game’s rules and where he can improve means winning more often. Virgos also enjoy being helpful, and Keroppi is no exception. His bubbly and enthusiastic personality helps him tackle any problem his friends may have.
Fun Fact:Keroppi’s full name is actually Kerokerokeroppi, but it’s usually shortened to Keroppi, which in our humble opinion, was a nerf. We recommend looking someone dead in the eye and going “Kerokerokeroppi"at leastonce in your lifetime.
Libra - Pochacco (September 23 - October 22)
Libras have a unique talent for finding themselves in situations they aren’t invited to but somehow manage to become the mediator with a strong sense of justice and peace. Pochacco is very much like this, given his curious nature. Although a bit sensitive, this allows him to see things from different perspectives, and combined with his playful nature, he doesn’t take things to heart easily.
Fun Fact:Pochacco’s name comes from the word “pocha pocha,” which means chubby in Japanese. Pochacco also has a best friend named Choppi, who is a small bird.
Scorpio - Kuromi (October 23 - November 21)
Scorpios are pretty intense, and they experience emotions deeply. They’re also very driven and have a powerful sense of determination.Kuromi is like this. Despite her punk-metal exterior, she’s actually quite sensitive and enjoys romantic short stories. She does like causing mischief, though, but this is likely because she’s misunderstood and isn’t afraid to push boundaries and question conventionality.
Fun Fact:Kuromi’s birthday is on Halloween (October 31st), fitting her mischievous personality. She has a rivalry with My Melody but secretly admires her, which is just cute as heck.
Sagittarius - Badtz-Maru (November 22 - December 21)
Those born under the Zodiac sign of Sagittarius love challenges and exploring new things because of their open mind and love of adventure. However, like Badtz-Maru, this can lead them to play the devil’s advocate.
Badtz-Maru is often thought of as mischievous, but this is likely due to his curious and open mind. Being misunderstood is challenging, so he often pulls faces at people or rolls his eyes; he’s definitely not lacking in personality.
Fun Fact:Badtz-Maru’s name means “XO” in Japanese, with “batsu” meaning wrong or X, and “maru” meaning correct or O. He has a pet alligator named Pochi. How cool isthat?
Capricorn - Tuxedo Sam (December 22 - January 19)
Capricorns have a strong work ethic and are known to have quite a refined taste. That sounds like Tuxedo Sam, doesn’t it? He has an impeccable sense of fashion, which he displays proudly with his collection of 365 bow ties. He’s a disciplined, hard worker, and once he reached the rank of captain, he was honorably discharged. This aligns with Capricorn’s sense of responsibility and work ethic.
Fun Fact:Despite being a penguin, Tuxedo Sam’s favorite food is hamburgers. He was once caught on camera saying “I’m not overdressed, everyone else is just under-tuxedoed.”
Aquarius - Chococat (January 20 - February 18)
Aquarians are independent thinkers and value individuality, which leads to an inquisitive personality. They’re also logical but tend to think outside the box. Chococat loves catching up on the latest news and is usually the first person to know when, where, and how something has happened. He has a playful nature, which can seem eccentric, and can often be found learning about science.
Fun Fact:Chococat’s whiskers act as antennas, giving him the ability to know everything.Everything.
Pisces - Little Twin Stars (February 19 - March 20)
Pisceans are very imaginative, often daydreaming and living in their own heads. However, they’re also empathetic and intuitive and enjoy helping others. Lala enjoys delving into poetry and is quite naive, whereas Kiki is curious and imaginative and often feels like it’s his responsibility to protect his sister. Their dual personalities mesh into the personality that a Piscean might have.
Fun Fact:Kiki and Lala are actually from the star Omoiyari, which means “compassion” in Japanese.
We elected to place Little Twin Stars as Pisces based on their personalities rather than just stick the “twin” characters into Gemini as per usual.
