One of the biggest parts of the progression inSkull And Bonesis looking for various refined materials to craft new ships, weapons, or tools. These items are scattered all around the seas, and the safest way to get them is by obtaining the respective raw materials first.
You can obtain raw materials by harvesting them at the correct location or by plundering fishing ships or settlements that have the desired item. Once acquired, the next step is to refine these items at one of the dens.
How To Refine Your Materials
If you want to refine any kind of material in Skull And Bones,you’ll first have to locate the Refinery. These can only be found in dens like Sainte-Anne, and you’ll have to go to the area with Carpenter, Blacksmith, and Ship Builder to get them. Once you go past the Ship Builder, you’ll see another shop with Refinery written on top of the NPC in it.
Interact with the NPC to open the refinement menu where you’ll see up to three slots. However,you’ll have to increase your Infamy and get better titlesto unlock more than one slot. In this menu, you can click on Refine Items to open a screen where you’ll be able to see all the refined materials you can make including wood, metal, and cloth.
The items you can currently craft with the items in your cargo have aspecial golden hammer on the top right.
This also includes the cargo you have in the warehouse.
Select the material you want and the amount before starting the refining process. It takes about three to four seconds to refine one item with this method, soyou can either wait at the Refinery for the process to finish or come back later. Keep in mind that you can still obtain refined materials directly by either plundering or buying from various factions.
