Monsters have different tastes than most of the other villagers in your valley, so you’ll learn some unique things about monster preferences. Here’s how you can help Mike feel more at home and express Monstropolis culture in Dreamlight Valley for all your villagers to enjoy. From food to cologne, Mike has plenty of ideas.
How To Unlock Monstrously Good Taste
To unlock this quest, you’ll need toreach friendship level fourwith Mike Wazowski. When you do, Mike reveals he hasbig plans for the valley. He wants to make it more monster-friendly, revamping both fashion and food.
He’ll tell you totalk to Remy, as you’ll need his culinary expertise to get started with fermentation.
How To Get Rotten Carp
Talk to Remy to get a Spoiled Carp, then head to Dazzle Beach tobury it in the sand. Any spot will do, so use your Royal Shovelto plant it like you would with seeds.
Once it’s in the ground, you’ll have towait 15 minutesfor it to mature. Spend your time how you’d like, thenreturn to collect the clearly rotten fish. Hand it over to Mike for evaluation. It’s perfect!
How To Make Monstrous Cologne
With the power of rotten fish,Mike wants you to make cologne. You’ll need togather the following materialsto help make the perfect concoction:
This will make three vials of the cologne. Thefirst sample should go to Scrooge McDuck, in hopes that he’ll stock it. While he doesn’t like it, you have two other samples to share.Give one to Scarandshow the other to Vanellope.
Once that’s done,give the results to Mike. They’re not what he was expecting, but at least he gets a bit of cologne out of it.
How To Make Gourmet Rot Dog
Giving up on his cologne enterprise, Mike moves on to the culinary scene. He asks you togo to Scar’s Caveandgrab the Royal Hairball. You’ll need this to make his dream dish: Gourmet Rot Dog.
The recipe for Gourmet Rot Dog isClam, Milk, Wheat, and the Royal Hairball. Put them all together at a stove.Show it to Remyto get his opinion. To no surprise, it’s not great. However, when youshow it to Mike, he’s quite happy with it.
Follow Mike and listenas he shares the meal with Sulley and they reminisce about the past. Once their conversation ends,return to Miketo wrap up the quest.
