The Shotgun is one of the best weapons to defend yourself from the grotesque creatures inSons of the Forest. Whether you’re traveling through the tight corners of the underground caves or defending your base from an onslaught of cannibals, the Shotgun makes for an excellent weapon to have at any point throughout your playthrough.
Besides most explosives, the Shotgun deals the most damage over all other weaponry in the game, making it very important for players to get a hold of it as early as possible. Unfortunately, the gun isn’t easy to find, but this guide will show you exactly where to find the Shotgun and how to add it to your arsenal.
How To Get The Shotgun
Finding the Shotgun in the forest can be tricky, mainly because it’s not found in the open; it’s buried.
With the gun being buried,you need to have found the Shovel firstbefore attempting to dig it up. Once you have this tool, you may now make your way to the Shotgun.
The Shotgun is foundburied in a grave in the northwestern sectionof the map along with a GPS Locator.
The gun is found just off the main path,left to the Abandoned Camp and between the two small ponds.
The grave will be completely underground, so you need tokeep your eyes peeled for the wooden cross, posted directly on top of the spot.
Once you find the cross, pull out your shovel and get to digging, the grave is just a few scoops under the dirt.
After revealing the grave, justbreak it open with your shovel, and you will be met with a dead soldier clutching the weapon to their chest.
The Shotgun is now yours for the taking. Justdon’t forget to grab the GPS Locatoras well.
