With the release of Penacony inHonkai: Star Rail, the developers at HoYoverse have released various new open-world mechanics to make you feel more freedom. One of these mechanics comes in the form of Lordly Trashcans that can be found while you’re exploring the Dreamscape areas.
These trashcans are great at camouflaging themselves in the environment, and they’ll make you face a riddle even if you do manage to find them. If you don’t answer the riddles correctly, you’ll have to face a dangerous challenge.
Golden Hour Lordly Trashcan Locations
The two Lordly Trashcans can be found quite easily in the Golden Hour area by just going around:

Teleport to the bottom Anchor and reachHanu’s Adventure on the bottom leftof the map.
Teleport to the anchor near Clockie statue, head up the stairs, andthen up the stairs to your right. Take the first left.
Head to the anchor in the bottom right side anduse the purple mechanismto go further right.
you’re able to find it on the top left side of the area, but you’llhave to go all the way aroundif you want to get to it.
Teleport to thenorthern anchorand go into the secluded room.
Enter from the northern side of the 3D room anduse the bubble bridge nearby, followed by the bridge on the right.
Teleport to the bottom left anchor and use the elevator. You’llfind it behind the elevatoron the other side.
Use the elevator nearDream Ticker Supervisor on the top leftand follow the map marker after.
Reach the middle part of the map with the sandpit and you’llfind it beside the right staircase.
You’ll find it at thetop part of the mapnear the Origami Bird deposit.
You’ll have to solve ajigsaw puzzle to get past a maze, and then solve a bouncing puzzle to get to this one.
Teleport to the bottom-most Anchor in the area and you’ll findsome purple bubbles at the bottomfor the Trashcan.
Head to the bottom right side of the upper floor and you’lleasily spot the three Trashcansin the area.
Soulglad Scorchland Audition Venue is quite a special area, and getting theLordly Trashcans here also requires you to follow a specific route. First, you have to start the Scorchsand Vacation quest and visit at least the first area in Dreamplay Fantasia with it. This will unlock all the Treasure Seekers.
Now, head to the Action Challenge inDreamplay Fantasia (right side of the first part) and talk to Mr. Soda #2. After this dialogue, head back to the shuttle in the starting area and select the Acting Challenge. You’ll also have to press some specific buttons here to unlock the hidden challenge.
In this one, you have to press the disc button once, the key button twice, andthe button on top twice as well.
Reach the hidden challenge area and you’ll seeboth the Trashcans at the same time. Choose the following options to get them:
If you don’t want to part ways with some of your Credits, you canselect the wrong options and fight with the trashcans.
You can easily find this one sitting on top of the counter in theopen area to the left sideof the main theater.
This one can be found on one of the stairs leading to the open areato the right side of the main theater.
How To Defeat Lordly Trashcan
If you fail a riddle and end up in combat against the Lordly Trashcan, you have to play in a certain way if you want to win. Lordly Trashcangains the first two combat type it gets attacked with as a weakness. So, you’d want to attack it with the characters with the most weakness break dmg first.
Characters like Ruan Mei are perfect for this battle since she can increase the amount of DMG done to an enemy’s toughness. Once thetrashcan’s toughness goes to zero, the battle is over.
