One of the primary collectibles in the game are the shipping containers that line the streets of Honolulu. For all intents and purposes, these are the same as the safes you’ll find in Yokohama.
This guide will show you where to find each shipping container in Honolulu. We’ll also give you advice on how to obtain the keys you’ll need to open them. These shipping containers hold everything from equipment to accessories to powerful single-use items that will help you level up jobs faster.
Where To Find Keys
There are a few places to get keys. For starters, you will find them in the steel briefcases scattered around town. Though they arefarfrom common. You can also purchase up to five keys from every Pawn Shop in Honolulu. Additionally, you will get a key from every mid-boss-type enemy you defeat.These are the guys who have a crown over their head.
However, one of the best ways to farm keys is to head to theHawaiian Haunt. You will find plenty of keys here. Especially if you don’t open any of the shipping containers found within (they eventually start giving you the same stuff anyway).
Enemies Guarding Shipping Containers
As you fight your way through the streets of Honolulu you will notice that all enemies have round indicators above their heads.However, you will occasionally find enemies withhorned indicators.These are a tougher breed of baddie.Worse yet, these guys tend to hang out in front of shipping containers.
Be warned, if that indicator above their head is purple, then they are a higher level than you.
These fights are pretty tough, so you should come prepared before throwing down with them. Put most of your money in an ATM, and make sure to have Smoke Bombs.On the topic of bombs, if you have an assortment of the more damaging kind, they can help you even the playing field.On the plus side, these encounters will provide you with keys.
