The GPS Locator is an important tool inSons of the Forestthat helps to make travel more convenient. The item can be manually placed anywhere and used as a beacon to help you mark out specific areas on your GPS, such as your base or cannibal camps.
Currently, there are only three GPS Locators found within the game and all of them are hidden in three different areas scattered across the north-west section of the forest. Additionally, each locator has its own set of requirements you need to be aware of to gain access to them.
Where To Find All GPS Locators
Conveniently,all three GPS Locators are located within the same regionof the map, specifically within the upper left section.
A good way to mark out this section is to stay within the long rivers from the west and northwest of the mountain.
Cliff GPS Locator
The first Locator will be found on the body of some poor soldierhanging from a cliffside, near where the two rivers almost meet.
There are several ways that you’re able to retrieve the Locator; it all depends on the items that you have at the moment.
If you have a sharp melee weapon like the Utility Knife or Modern Axe, you cancut the rope free from the top of the cliff, dropping the body below.
On the other hand, if you trust your aim,you may shoot the rope from the bottom of the cliffand let the soldier fall right in front of you.
Collect the GPS Locator from his corpseas well as the flashlight that will be beside him.
Grave GPS Locator
This GPS Locator is found buried underground within a grave and requires you tofind the Shovel first, so ensure you have it in your possession.
The grave site is located in theupper left of the regionbetween two small bodies of water and an abandoned camp to the east.
It will be just off of the main path andmarked by a wooden cross with red fabric draped over it.
Once there, start digging in the ground until you reveal the full casket.
Break it open, and you will see anotherdead soldier clutching the shotgunin his arms as well as the GPS Locator.
Raft GPS Locator
The final GPS Locator isfound drifting out at sea within a raftthat you’ll have to swim to.
The good thing is thatyou don’t need anything specific to get to it. The bad thing is thatyou’ll have to deal with sharkstrying to rip you apart during your swim.
Before you go, it might be wise to bring some firearms or other long-range weapons that can deal with the shark once you make it on the raft.
Just keep swimming forward and do your best to watch out for any sharks near you.
Once you make it on the boat, collect the final GPS Locator as well asthe flares and Pistol.
Make sure to kill the sharkwith something before swimming back if you may.
