Southwest Of The Small Settlement

It will take a bit longer to reach this area, but it’s a great spot for beginners. You canaccess plenty of woodin this clearing, as well as themultiple Ore nodesthat will continue to appear in this spot.

Being along the cliffs means that there’sonly one way for enemies to reach youduring raids, so it’s easy tobuild a wall and keep unwanted guests out.

It’s best to upgrade from a Wooden Gate to a Stone Gate as soon as possible to avoid continuous damage from fire.

Best Late Game Base Locations

As you reach the late game stages, you’ll need more scarce resources, likesulfur, coal, and quartz. Many locations don’t have these resources, so you’ll either be trekking across the map to transport goodsor you’ll have to set up your base nearby.

However, there are a few places where you can get what you need without worry.
