Summary

InHelldivers 2, Super Earth stands for liberty and democracy across the galaxy. The skilled soldiers known as helldivers defend these freedoms from any and all threats, including traitors that dare raise their hand against their own.You never know who might be a traitor, especially when out on a mission, but it’s important to recognize and eliminate all threats to Super Earth.

From questioning orders to failing a mission, there are several tell tale signs that your squadmates could be traitors. Here’s what to keep an eye out for to ensure you continue spreading democracy and eliminating threats to Super Earth.

8Not Saluting The Flag

Failing to salute the flag is an obvious sign that your teammate is a traitor. When on a mission to raise the great flag of Super Earth, you may notice that a squadmate ignores that glorious moment. No matter what emote they use, acknowledging Super Earth’s anthem and the proud moment the flag rises into the sky is mandatory for all helldivers.

If they refuse, they are a traitor and should be treated as such. Failing to honor the flag shows disrespect to those who came before and died fighting in the line of duty, likeat Malevelon Creek.

7Skipping The Patriotic Service Announcement

The Patriotic Service Announcement that plays is mandatory to watch, and any deviations in attention will be disciplined as treason. The announcement serves to honor those who fight and remind civilians why the helldivers are a necessary part of society. The dangers of alien lifeforms to democracy cannot be underestimated.

Skipping the Patriotic Service Announcement denies is equivalent to ignoring the call to action. The helldivers need willing and able soldiers to fight on the front lines, and skipping the announcement goes against Super Earth’s orders, making any who engage in this practice a traitor.

6Sympathizing With The Enemy

Threats to democracy are not to be trifled with. Automatons are not sentient, nor are they in any way human according to the Ministry of Truth. They are merely weapons, and they must be destroyed by stronger weapons. Any attempt to sympathize with them will be regarded as treason.

If you notice a squadmate hesitate to pull the trigger or call in a stratagem that would annihilate your enemies, they are a threat to Super Earth. No true patriot would pass up the opportunity to give the enemy a cup of Liber-tea.

5Displaying Interest In Alien Artifacts

While samples can be collected an researched for the benefit of Super Earth, alien artifacts must be destroyed. They are dangerous and pose a threat to Super Earth. If your teammates display any interest in these artifacts or question how alien machinery works, they just might be a traitor.

Either squash their interests or eliminate them for standing in the way of managed democracy. A Democracy Officer would order the same, as would any true patriot from Super Earth. Make sure to do your part.

4Leaving The Combat Zone

A patriot never flees the battlefield. Leaving the combat zone marks a traitor, and they shall be dealt with swiftly and effectively. If you notice a squadmate running towards the edge of the map, do Super Earth a favor and remove them from the field.

There’s no room for cowardice in the Galactic War. All helldivers must work together to administer justice and deliver democracy to every planet they come across. Abandoning your allies to leave the combat zone is unpatriotic and will have a Democracy Officer on your heels.

3Abandoning Samples

Samples are a necessary component to upgrade your ship and make combat easier. Finding rare samples is important, and if a helldiver is so willing to abandon them in favor of extraction, they might be a traitor.

Sometimes you’ll need to leave samples behind to complete a mission, but in all cases when possible, retrieve the samples. This helps your fellow helldivers improve, and choosing to leave these precious samples behind is the mark of a traitor. Do your part and collect those samples.

2Attempting Diplomacy On The Battlefield

Anyone attempting diplomacy on the battlefield is a traitor. The only path to peace, according to Democracy Officers, is war. Attempting to speak with bots or communicate with bugs demonstrates a lack of democratic spirit and a willingness to disregard Super Earth’s authority.

Rather than use your words, use your bullets to spread the seeds of democracy. There’s no reason to communicate with the enemy when they are a threat to Super Earth and the Liberation of the galaxy. Just because the bots will talk doesn’t mean you need to talk back. They aren’t people, they are threats.

1Questioning Super Earth

Overall, a traitor will expose themselves by questioning Super Earth and the orders given to protect the planet. The major orders given must be followed to the letter, and any deviance or questioning reveals an unwillingness to spread democracy. Therefore, soldiers whose dedication to the cause wavers are a threat to Super Earth.

The Ministry of Truth issues all relevant information, and any who dare question it are traitors who would prefer to see Super Earth and managed democracy fall in the Galactic War. Report them to a Democracy Officer as soon as possible.
