What Is Green Rain?
Whenchecking the weatherin the morning, you may find that the meteorologist is puzzled. Thereading will not be clear, and the newscaster will express notknowing what the weather report means.
Green Rain will only occur in the summer!
The next day, you’ll wake up to finda green rain has descended upon the valley. The entire screen will be green, and almosteveryone will seek out shelter at the Stardrop Saloon(except for Demetrius, who hangs around in a hazmat suit to collect samples).
What Does Green Rain Do?
The green rain may seem dangerous, but fear not! It’s not acid rain or anything that can hurt you. Instead, it means thatMossis growing in abundance. You’ll find that many of the regular trees are overgrown, and some have moss growing on them.
Use yourScytheor axe to hit the trees with moss to collect one to two pieces.
Thegreen rain affects all of Pelican Town,so spend the day collecting moss as much as you can. Anotherresource you’ll find isFiddlehead Fern, as large stalks of it grow around the valley only for the day.
Harvesting them willyield around six fernsper stalk, so you’ll want to grab all you may in the day. Don’t shirk your other responsibilities around the farm, but take the opportunity to catch up with your neighbors and gather limited resources while they are plentiful.
While called Green Rain, it will not water your crops or fill your pet’s water bowl.
