Bloodpoints are the only way tolevel up your characters and get new perks, items, and add-ons. With this event, you’ll have several ways to earn millions of Bloodpoints. Along with new gameplay elements and event rewards, here’s what you’ll need to know about the Blood Moon event.

Blood Moon Event Currency

For the Blood Moon event, the event currency is calledBlood Trinkets. These can be used to unlock certain rewards and cosmetics. Blood Trinkets can beearned through completing challenges in the event tome.

Anyunspent Blood Trinkets will be converted to Bloodpointsat the end of the event.

The Blood Moon event gets atomewith several challenges you’re able to complete. These willreward Bloodpoints, Rift Fragments, and Blood Trinketsas you complete them.

Many of the challenges involve thenew gameplay mechanics for the Blood Moon event, which involve Blood Droplets and Basins.

Many challenges will be similar to ones in other tomes, such ascompleting Generators or hooking Survivors. Some are more difficult, such as one that involvesa Survivor hiding from a Killerwhile also being inside a Blood Zone.

Tips For Playing The Blood Moon Event

Players cancollect Blood Droplets in a Trial and deposit them into Blood Basinsaround the map. This creates aBlood Zone, which gives all players a certain buff while inside its radius.

Between the additional effects of the Blood Zones and the Blood Seekers community challenge,creating Blood Zones should be a regular priority while playing during the Blood Moon event.

You can alsotake out the Blood Droplet from a Blood Basin that has already been created, and go place it somewhere else.

At the start of the Trial,Killers start with one Blood Dropletalready, and canhold on to a maximum of two. Killers can steal a Droplet from a Survivor (that has one) byinjuring them.

Survivors canpick up one of the random Droplets that spawn at the start of the Trialto get one, orsteal one from the Killer by stunning them. Survivors can onlyhold one Droplet at a time.

Players have also noticed that due to the additional red hues added for the Blood Moon event,normal gameplay visuals such as scratch marks and blood pools can be a bit more confusing than normal.Just be aware when playing.

The Community Blood Moon Challenge, Explained

The Blood Moon event is intended to be thepremiere way to earn Bloodpoints in Dead by Daylight. So, possibly the biggest part of the Blood Moon event is the communityBlood Seeker challenge.

As players create Blood Zones in Trials,each Blood Zone created counts toward community goal checkpointsthat will influence how much the global bonus modifier for Bloodpoints increases. This means that every match you play, theamount of Bloodpoints you would normally earngets multiplied even morethan normal.

It originally started with a 50 percent modifier, and as players fill up Blood Basins,new milestones are reachable.
