The joy ofRobloxis that it’s a platform that allows you to play all kinds of games with others for free, with Adopt Me being one of the more popular games that the app offers. In Adopt Me, you have the freedom to create your own chosen families, be they human or animal.

As your family of pets and people grows, you may want to ensure that you all have a space where random people can’t wander in. To this end, you can use the Lock inside any personal dwelling to keep anyone who’s not added to your ‘Family’ out.

What Does The Lock Do In Roblox: Adopt Me?

When you play for the first time, you’ll begiven your own house in Adopt Methat you candecorate and upgradeas you please, with the option to get more. When inside, you’ll noticeyour home’s interface at the topof the screen, giving the options ofEdit House,My Homes, orLock.

The’Lock' featureallows you toprevent anyone who isn’t added to your ‘Family’from entering your home. It essentially adds the same protection as your pets have,preventing others from wandering into your homewhen you’re away.

How To Create And Recruit A Family

If you want togive people access to your locked home, you’ll need tocreate a familyby clicking the small red square button on the right side of the screen. This will show a prompt asking if you want tocreate a family, and you’re able to click the button to do so.

A’Family’ in Adopt Me is essentially like a ‘party’in any other game,allowing those you trust to interactwith your stuff.

Once you have created a family, you’ll need to invite othersin Adopt Me to join it. To do so, you’ll need tostand next to the personyou want to invite and thenclick on them. You’ll seea prompt to ‘Invite to Family’pop up. If the person accepts, they’rein your family.

It seems likeyour ‘Family’ won’t persist beyond each session, so make sure toadd anyone on the Roblox servicethat you want to keep in touch with.
