Warhammerdecided to kick off the week by showing off an array of new products, significantly improving the Monday mornings of fans the world over. Among those reveals were collectibles you’ll soon be able to add to your Warhammer collections. Well, soon for the action figures, but perhaps not so soon for the latest look at Warhammer’s upcoming Abaddon the Despoiler statue.
Weta Workshop revealed its Lieutenant Titus statue in November and it was really something.Still available now, the incredibly detailed Space Marine statue’s price starts at $1,199 and judging bythe latest look at Abaddon, Weta’s follow-up is going to cost about the same. Close-ups of The Despoiler’s face show off a tremendous amount of detail, not to mention the early look at how Abaddon’s armor is coming along.

Almost as impressive as the attention to detail is the hint that Abaddon’s statue will be even bigger than the Lieutenant Titus one. For those who don’t own a $1,200 Titus statue, the Space Marine stands at 24 inches tall, including the alien corpse on which he is perched. That Abaddon’s statue will be even bigger than that is quite the promise. No indication yet on when it will be finished, but it’s already likely hardcore Warhammer fans with the money to spare will want to add this statue to their collections.
If you want a shorter wait time and a lower price tag, Warhammer has also revealed three McFarlane’s Toys action figures, releasing this Spring so presumably any day now. Joining McFarlane’s Warhammer collection are the Iron Warrior, a Blood Angels Reiver Sergeant, and a Ymgarl Genestealer. The Iron Warrior and Reiver Sergeant both come equipped with a gun as well as a melee weapon, while the Ymgarl Genestealer has tentacles hanging from its mouth.

The other highlight from Warhammer’s bumper drop was the announcement thatDarktide is getting a tabletop adaptation. Launching this summer, the adaptation turns the Warhammer 40K video game into a card version you’re able to play alone or with up to three friends. A big year ahead for Warhammer fans of all descriptions with action figures, a new card game, and of course, Space Marine 2 all arriving between now and the end of 2024.
