According to reputable leaker @MbKKssTBhz5, aVirtua Fighterreboot is in the works. It won’t be developed by RGG, instead helmed “by staff from [the latest] games.”
@MbKKssTBhz5 claims that, as with past games, this reboot will feature “single-player and multiplayer elements that are targeting casual and core players including competitive players”.
They shared this news in a thread discussing Sega’s future line-up, highlighting thatthe new Jet Set Radioisn’t a remake, but instead part of an “initiative to reboot many Sega games in new ways”, utilising its library of classics that have long lay dormant. Crazy Taxi is another such game, with a reboot reportedly “planned for [a] 2027 release”.
They also claim that all of the Sega titles revealed at The Game Awards will launch on Nintendo’s new hardware, the ever-mysterious Switch 2 which has yet to be announced.
Reports claimit will be an “iteration” costing $400, launching sometime this year. It was also claimed thatit will have an eight-inch LCD screenas opposed to OLED.
Leaks vary on its power, with some claiming it’ll match current-gen consoles while others report that it’ll be on par with the PS4 and Xbox One from last-gen.
Details on the Virtua Fighter reboot are scarce, but @MbKKssTBhz5 did share some information about two unannounced Sonic games coming to mobile. Reportedly, sports and Chao games are in development, but neither is being helmed bythe recently acquired Angry Birds developer Rovio. Allegedly, the Chao title will be exclusive to Netflix, and the sports game Apple Arcade. Then there’s Sonic Fall Guys which will reportedly “release at the start of Summer”.
