Unicorn Overlordallows you to take the role as the leader of an army against the Zenoiran Empire. Between all the quests and battles, you may find yourself with some downtime, allowing you to bond with and build your Rapport with the varied characters of your army, from Scarlett to Josef to Yunifi.
As with a lot of games, each character will enjoy certain gifts more than others, so we’ve been keeping an eye out for their responses. By building up enough Rapport with them, not only will your armies become more powerful, but you may just find Alain’s romantic partner.
Why Give Gifts In Unicorn Overlord?
Giving gifts is one of the ways you canincrease your Rapport, which makescharacters more powerful in battle,enables them toreap more rewardsfrom battles, and unlocksadditional dialogue. When a character reaches the maximum amount of Rapport, you will be able to select them as Alain’s romantic partner.
You can also build Rapport by selecting characters to fight in battles and by sharing meals.
Gifts have different ranks. Each rank will give a set amount of Rapport:
If you give a character a gift that they like, theRapport they receive from the gift will be doubled.
If you don’t have or give a character a gift that they want, don’t worry. You will still receive Rapport points, even if you don’t give them their preferred item.

Gifts generally come in types. A character will usuallylike gifts from certain types.These types are: Amusement, Appearance, Arts, Attire, Cooking, Confections, Decorating, Drinking, Finery, Flowers, Food, and Tea.
