Always Keep Your Distance From Enemies

The first rule of winning any fight in Immortal Life is toalways maintain a safe distance. The crux of the combat mechanics is to click on the enemy to launch a flying sword, which will damage the enemy on being hit. Since there isno range limit on the flying swords, you have to be accurate when attacking enemies.

Most enemies, on the other hand, do melee damage. If an enemy gets too close to you, the chances of you getting hit by their attack increase significantly. To avoid losing valuable HP,you should always stay at the furthest possible distancewhen getting into a fight.

The hostile entities start attacking youonly when you’re within range. On the other hand, you can attack any enemy as long as they are visible on your screen. You canuse this trick to your advantageby killing enemies without engaging them, providing you with an edge.

Wait For The Perfect Opportunity To Use Skills

Apart from the basic flying swords that you summon by clicking on enemies, the other way to deal significant damage is by using combat skills. Combat skills arespecial techniques you can acquire while training at the Sect.

Unlike flying swords, combat skills come with a cooldown timeduring which the skill cannot be used. For this reason, you need to be extra careful when using combat skills.

Using special items in combat

Especially in boss fights, if you end up using the combat skill on something else, you will have to keep dodging it before being able to use it again.you may have up to six active combat skills, and using them at regular intervals will allow you to have a combat skill ready for any situation.

The damage dealt by combat skills is not the same for every technique. To deal more damage, you need to level up your combat skills by training them at the Lecture Hall in the Main Hall of the Sect.

Be Mindful Of Using Consumables

Consumables are like recovery items in any other game. You can useRed pills to recover HP and Blue pills to recover mana. You cancarry up to five types of consumablesat any given time.

Every stack of a consumable can hold a maximum of ten items. There are various grades of consumables, from the common grade to the legendary grade. The better the grade, the better the effects.

You can use consumables to cast all kinds of temporary effects on your character during a fight. But there are two conditions when using a consumable:it takes about three seconds to use, and you cannot move while using a consumable. Because of this reason, you should only use consumables at a safe distance or when you’re not at risk of being attacked by enemies.

Gettingattacked by a monster while using a consumable interrupts the process. Not only will you be unable to use the item, but you will also take damage from the monster’s attack.

Know Which Type Of Enemy You’re Up Against

Every enemy has an element type called a Phase. Because of this, they are vulnerable to specific element-type attacks. There are five element types, A.K.A. phases:Metal, Wood, Water, Fire, and Earth. These elements share a relationship advantage among themselves.

Water-element attacks deal more damage to Fire-element monsters. Similarly, Fire holds an advantage over Metal. Metal can beat Wood. Wood deals more damage to Earth and Earth has an advantage over Water. Based on this, you can decide which weapons and skills to use in a fight to deal maximum damage to enemies.

Apart from Breakthrough, the other combat locations are Valley Pit, Yuhua Mystic Realm, Flowery Mystic Realm, Blazing Sands Mystic Realm, Oceanic Mystic Realm, and the Bright Moon Mystic Realm.

Don’t Rush Breakthrough And Boss Fights

Apart from farming smaller monsters for loot, there are mainly two kinds of fights that you will encounter during your playthrough: Boss fights and Breakthrough fights. To get rare loot and better gear, Boss fights are a must. Similarly, you have toclear Breakthrough fights to enhance your character’s cultivation level.

Failing in either of these fights causes you significant losses, so you should prepare thoroughly before engaging and not rush while in the fight. In Boss fights, multiple monsters are hidden in the environment, and they ambush you when you get near them.

To avoid getting ambushed, you must tread carefully while ensuring you do not get hit by monster attacks. The chances of you dying in an ambush attack are much higher than in a Boss attack. Therefore,it’s best if you do not rush those fights.

Breakthrough fights don’t have ambush attacksbut instead, overwhelm you with many monsters in a short period from every direction. You need to carefully kite them in a single line to hit multiple enemies simultaneously.Rushing in these fights only leads you to getting hit by monster attacks from the back.
