There are a lot of ways to enjoyThe Witcher. You can watch the show onNetflix, play CDPR’s video games, or read the books from which both of those projects have been spun. Or, you could bring The Continent to your very own tabletop. There are already a few ways you can do that, but Go On Board, in collaboration withCD Projekt Red, is adding another to the mix via its new card game, Path Of Destiny.

You might have heard about The Witcher: Path Of Destiny already. That’s because funding for the card game started in 2023 and, to put it mildly, the funding stage was a success. Generating more than $6 million with the help of over 30,000 pledges, you may now secure a copy of the game for yourself by visiting Path Of Destiny’s page on Gamefound.

The pledge campaign for Path Of Destiny has ended, but now the tabletop game is in its pre-sale stage, giving you until the end of March to choose the package you want and to make sure you’re one of the first to own and play the game when it’s released. There are a lot of options available with the amount you’re willing to pay and the level of immersion you want from the game dictating which package you go for. The cheapest option is $55 if you just want the base game with various stepping stones up to the $430 Shaded I Want It All option.

The Witcher: Path Of Destiny

Path Of Destiny is a card game officially inspired by the world of The Witcher. Assume the roles of Geralt and other iconic characters from the franchise on this tabletop quest that will have various expansions from day one.

Even if you just want the $55 game, by committing to Path of Destiny now you will get additional items that not only double how much your purchase is worth but will include items that won’t be available in the retail version of the game when it hits store shelves next year. You will also get to play the game six weeks earlier than everyone else. Path Of Destiny is targeting a retail launch in Q1 2025, but those who pick up the game through Gamefound between now and the end of March will hopefully have it before the end of 2024.

That’s a long time to wait to satisfy your Witcher tabletop fix. If you’d like a little something to play while you wait for Path Of Destiny, Game On Board’s previous Witcher project Old World is being reprinted. Old World has already received three expansions, one of which is based on The Wild Hunt, and there will be two more released at some point in 2024.
