Summary
Skins inCounter-Strike 2are one of the greatest and biggest changes in a game that gave Counter-Strike the push it needed to reach global recognition. Back in the Global Offensive days, skins were collectibles that added an aesthetic to the game that made it more fun. If you had skins, you had respect, and the greater rarity your skin is, the more you’re looked up to.
The same formula is true for CS2 and with newer skins, collections, and new ways to get these skins, like the weekly drop. The skin market is at its peak, and there’s nothing more iconic than having one of the rarest skins in the game in your inventory.

10Souvenir SSG 08 Detour (Factory New)
Price Range: Unknown
Of all the different Souvenir skins based on professional games out there, the SSG 08 Detour has one of the most iconic plays behind it that completely changed the game.
Fnatic was many rounds down, and it looked like they had lost the game until they pulled out a boost with Olofmiester as the sniper, and they managed to win, which all started with a play with the SSG 08. A regular Souvenir SSG-08 Detour is actually pretty cheap, but the ones with the Olofmiester Foil and Factory New wear go for a lot and are exceptionally rare.

9Crimson Web Knives
Price Range: $250-$1,800
One of the most sought-after knife finishes in the game is the Crimson Web series, which shows the knife covered with black web and a blood-red background. It is reminiscent of the Spider-man suit in some ways and was an instant favorite during its first official release.
The Crimson Web design eventually moved onto all the other knife types and became one of the rarest designs to get on an already rare drop chance of a knife. Further stack the rarity of StatTrak and Factory New wears, and you’ve got a couple hundred of these skins out in the wild that can cost as much as a car.

8AWP Gungnir
Price Range: $5,800-$11,500
A design based on Odin’s Spear and hailing from the Norse Collection, the AWP Gungnir ticks all the right boxes when it comes to good AWP skins on the market. It already has a striking design that stands out as a brightly colored blue and white AWP, and to add, it’s one of the rarer AWP Skins in the game, only available to a select few lucky players who got it during the Shattered Web Operation.
It has been impossible to get after and remains in a limited quantity, making it one of the rarer AWP skins in Counter-Strike 2.

7Karambit/Butterfly/M9 Bayonet Doppler (Ruby/Sapphire)
Price Range: $800-$11,500
The Knife skins have a unique skin type called the Doppler, which is one of the few skins that has multiple variants of the skin. The Doppler has different phases, and each phase has its own value. The phases vary from Black to Blue to Red and combinations in between.
The most popular and rarest of these are the Factory New Ruby’s and Sapphire’s, which are extremely difficult to come by and have a unique shiny red or blue texture depending on the Doppler you inspect. Both these skins are considered legendary in the skin community and are renowned for their shine and rarity.

6StatTrak™ M4A4 Howl
Price Range: $5,500-$12,500
The M4A4 Howl is the most limited edition skin in Counter-Strike 2, being the only one of its rarity type, Contraband. The story behind this skin is enough to make it a top-tier rarity skin because it’s impossible to unbox after being removed from the game.
The original M4A4 Howl had copyright art, which Valve had to remove from the game and replace with the current version before removing the possibility of getting that too. This shot up its rarity and gave the skin legendary status, and the best versions of it are the StatTrak Factory New variants.

5AK-47 Wild Lotus
Price Range: $11,000-$14,000
The AK-47 Wild Lotus has a jungle touch to it that is absent from other AK skins. With its beautiful floral pattern and its bright color scheme, it’s one of the best AKs to have for a collector.
It was released as part of the ST Marc Collection back when Operation Shattered Web was in full swing, and since then, it has garnered a dedicated fanbase that drove this skin’s price up and made it exceptionally rare. The Factory New version is the most sought-after version and one of the most popular AK-47 skins out there.

4Sport Gloves Pandora’s Box
Price Range: $1,800-$63,500
The gloves in Counter-Strike are about as rare, if not rarer, than the knives since they’re extraordinarily difficult to come by when opening a case. As the rarest drop, they are bound to be as flashy as knives and pricier in some cases.
The Sport Gloves Pandora’s Box is the rarest of the gloves because even if you get gloves, there’s a very tiny chance for them to be Pandora’s Box. The odds get even worse for a Factory New version, meaning only a handful of these gloves (pun intended) have been unboxed, making them cost mountain loads of money because of their rarity.

3Souvenir AWP Dragon Lore
Price Range: $35,000-$484,000
The AWP Dragon lore has always been one of the most well-known AWP skinsout there, and there hasn’t been a skin more iconic since its inception. The Cobblestone collection has long been out of the game, and new Dragon Lores beyond the ones originally unboxed are non-existent.
The Souvenir variants are even rarer since they hail from Souvenir cases that were exclusively dropped during live screenings of Esports events that were played on Cobblestone. It’s the magnum opus of AWP skins, and its popularity and value keep increasing as time goes on.

2AK-47 Case Hardened (Blue Gem)
Price Range: $300,000-$1,500,000
The AK-47 Case Hardened has a similar formula to the Doppler variants of the knife skins mentioned before in that it comes in many different patterns. Most AK-47 Case Hardened skins are common, but there is one specific pattern that gives it status beyond just a cool-looking skin.
The Blue Gem variants of the Case Hardened are exceptionally hard to come by, and chances of them dropping in a trade-up or a case are slim to none. Only a few of the hundreds of different patterns possible are considered Blue Gem, and there are only a couple of them going around.

1Karambit Case Hardened (Blue Gem)
Price Range: $1,500,000
Just like the AK-47,the Karambit Case Hardened has a Blue Gem variant that is even more difficult to getbecause, unlike the AK, the Karambit is a Knife. Getting a knife is much more difficult than getting an AK-47 Case Hardened, and, as such, getting a Blue Gem is also much rarer than normal.
The Karambit Case Hardened is possibly the most expensive knife in CS2 and has been spotted in games only a couple of times. You can’t do trade-ups for it and can only get it from a case, making it one of the most expensive skins in Counter Strike history.
