Maze Of Millennia is the firstYu-Gi-Oh!Booster set released in 2024, and while not a main set, it still packs a punch with amazing meta staples, support for anime archetypes, and Collector’s Rares well worth the money.

This set includes the coveted Collector’s Rare rarity that players love for how the sparkling foil reflects when the light is placed on it. Not only is this set aimed at collectors with never-before-seen anime cards like Eye Of Illusion, but tournament players will find this box worth it with reprints, like Triple Tactics Thrust, and new anti-meta traps like Transaction Rollback.Th

10Majespecter Racoon - Bunbuku (Collector’s Rare)

Market Price - $27.70

Although the Majespecter archetype is not much to write home about, it is a great engine to pair with other much more powerful archetypes like Runick or even have some fun with some Superheavy Samurai combos.

Bunbuku is an excellent starter or extender, since the furry little guy can find you any other Majespecter you might need to complete your set of Pendulum scales or combo pieces. It helps that it also cannot be targeted by effects, meaning your opponent will have trouble dealing with it.

9Transaction Rollback

Market Price - $35.71

Transaction Rollback is one of the most powerful cards in Maze Of Millennia. Not only can this card copy any of your opponent’s previously used trap cards, but it can also copy your own after you’ve already used up its first effect.

While it is a great card, it has niche uses that not every deck will need and will most likely be relegated to the side deck. Still, this card will pop up once in a while and steal some games.

8Ultimate Flame Swordsman (Collector’s Rare)

Market Price - $40.28

One of the best things about Maze Of Millennia is the inclusion of a wave of fan-favorite support. This set includes tons of Flame Swordsman cards, helping Joey Wheeler’s favorite fiery fighter ascend into the upper echelons of Yu-Gi-Oh!.

Ultimate Flame Swordsman is the newest fusion of the archetype. This card can apply a burn effect to your opponent as it dismantles their board with a barrage of quick effects. The main gimmick of the archetype is still intact too, as the effects are dependant on whether it is equipped with an Equip card.

7Triple Tactics Thrust

Market Price - $40.33

As one of the best anti-hand trapcards in the game, there is no doubt of why Triple Tactics Thrust is so expensive. The card has only had two printings and they’ve only been in some of the rarest types in the card game, Secret Rare and Ultimate Rare.

Triple Tactics Thrust is a much-needed card for decks that fall apart at the sight of a well-timed Ash Blossom and Joyous Spring, so this reprint is very welcomed by players all over card shops.

6Fighting Flame Swordsman (Collector’s Rare)

Market Price - $49.76

Just like Ultimate Flame Swordsman, Fighting Flame Swordsman is a welcome addition to the Duel Monsters archetype. This card works as a main searcher for the deck, but unlike other searchers, it doesn’t look for another Monster, but rather, a Spell or Trap card that mentions Flame Swordsman.

Since the deck revolves around equipping Spells to your Flame Swordsman, this card can find you all the necessary pieces to make sure you can scorch your opponent. Being such a fan-favorite just means this card’s Collector’s Rare version will continue to increase in price.

5Number 1: Infection Buzzking (Collector’s Rare)

Market Price - 49.91

Konami loves to print cards that leave players baffled at how much they can do. Number 1: Infection Buzzking is one of those cards. Although somewhat restricted to what decks can play it since it is a Rank Eight XYZ, Infection Buzzking can easily disrupt your opponent’s plays in a moment’s notice.

Generic Extra Deck Monsters will always have a place in Yu-Gi-Oh!, it’s only a matter of time until a top player figures out a way to easily make these Monsters work, and when they do, people will be chasing after this Collector’s Rare.

4Jet Synchron (Collector’s Rare)

Market Price: $51.71

Ever since Jet Synchron was printed for the first time, players have loved that little jet turbine. A great tool for Anime-style Junk decks, but is also generic to be used for Synchro decks, this card will be extremely popular as Konami releases more and more Fire Attribute support.

Not only does this card continue to be one of the best Tuners in Fire, but Edison Format players will love having this card in their collection or even max rarity decks.

3Bonfire

Market Price - $105.24

Every archetype needs a Reinforcing Of The Army-type of card and with 2024 being the loving dubbed by fans, the year of Fire, Bonfire is just the card for the job. This card can add a Level four or lower Pyro monster from your deck to your hand. Clean and simple.

Decks like Snake Eyes and Fire Kings will benefit greatly from this card!

With thesets surrounding Maze Of Millenniaincluding plenty of strong engines made up of Pyro monsters, paired with the card only having two printings, one in Ultra Rare and one in Collector’s Rare, it’s no surprise that a playset of these will run up quite the tab.

2Transaction Rollback (Collector’s Rare)

Market Price - $109.74

Transaction Rollback is an excellent way to play around an opponent who is trigger-happy with their trap cards. What better way to Uno reverse your opponent’s traps than with an expensive and shiny Transaction Rollback.

This card has already seen plenty of meta play, making the Collector’s Rare version a highly coveted item that you can find in your sealed boxes. Start opening those packs that you’ve been stashing! They won’t do you any favors while they are sealed and put away.

1Bonfire (Collector’s Rare)

Market Price - $262.95

If you thought that Ultra Rare Bonfire was expensive and you were giving up hope from playing some of themeta decksin Maze Of Millennia, then forget about buying max rarity because one copy of Collector’s Rare Bonfire will cost more than a fun off-meta deck.

While the card is beautiful, the price is outrageous, and even more so when you realize that you have to purchase three of them if you want to stay competitive. Maybe it’s time to play Marincess again?
