WhilePalworldmay have been labelled simply Pokemon with guns when it launched, it has proven that it’s quite a fun game with some interesting aspects. The systems and the core gameplay are really enjoyable, but, as it is with any monster-taming game, the creature design is what makes or breaks Palworld.
Luckily, barring the occasional too-close-for-comfort inspiration from certain Pokemon, the majority of Pals in the game are very interesting. When you look into the Paldeck and read each creature’s entries, you may find yourself relating to these whimsical monsters more than expected. Here are the most relatable Pals in the game.
10Lamball
Lamball is a Pal you may get very early on, and it’s not the best combatant, the best worker, or the best anything. What Lamball is, is cute and cuddly. According to its Paldeck entry, it even tumbles back down from a walk up a hill, a true challenge.
While we all strive to be more athletic and more energetic, we know what procrastination is. Some days, you just want to tumble down like a Lamball and rest both physically and mentally. There’s nothing wrong with an occasional rest day too, just get recharged as you need.
9Hoocrates
Hoocrates is a hilarious-looking little Pal who’s directly inspired by a philosopher, Socrates to be precise. This contemplative bird can be found at night and quite early on, and is decently strong for the early game. According to their Paldeck entry, Hoocrates finds it difficult to sleep as it’s lost in thought.
We’ve all had nights where we replay real-life scenarios, think about possibilities, and more. Sleepless, thoughtful nights are so common that it’s become a bit of a meme. Thus, Hoocrates becomes quite the relatable Pal, especially for the night owls out there.
8Depresso
Depresso is a fan-favorite Pal, both due to its hilariously grumpy look, its name, and the memes that it has spawned. Depresso is a Dark Pal and is the embodiment of a grumpy, depressed modern-day person. According to its Paldeck entry, it has few friends due to how grumpy it is, which is both sad and funny in a way.
Depresso are actually kindhearted, they just look and act a bit grouchy. Nobody is at full energy every day, and we all definitely experiencethosedays from time to time. ItsPartner Skillis called Caffeine Inoculation which just makes it that much more relatable.
7Celeray
Celeray are very cute, friendly-looking Pals that you can find near bodies of water. These little Palscan be used with a glove to glide as well, which is lovely. According to their Paldeck entry, Celeray rides the wind and moves where it wants to. This in itself is what most of us want to do eventually, just travel without worry and enjoy ourselves.
Moreso, Celeray marks the end of its journey once it finds a partner. While this is not a requirement for happiness by any means, most people dream of findingthe oneand settling down. Celeray exemplifies a very sweet notion of a life well lived.
6Dumud
Dumud is absolutely on the derpy side of the Pal spectrum. It looks a little confused at all times and is absolutely attached to its comfort. The entry for it is extreme in a hilarious way, emphasizing that Dumud wouldn’t even realize if it were sliced up.
While not many people are that extreme in their laziness, there’s definitely a part of ourselves we see in Dumud. On a bad Monday morning, especially if you’re not a morning person, you will feel as stiff as a Dumud for sure.
5Leezpunk
Leezpunk is a funny-looking Pal that willoccasionally raid your bases, so you might have some negative feelings towards it. However, Leezpunk is just a bit too self-obsessed, it’s not straight-up evil or anything. These Pals always look for the coolest poses, worrying about their looks and stylish stances.
If you’ve ever spent more than a few minutes trying to get that selfy angle right or getting the light to hit you at the perfect angle, Leezpunk may just be your spirit, Pal. Especially in our modern world, where Social Media is a huge part of our lives, who can blame Leezpunk for trying to look as cool as possible?
4Kitsun
Kitsun, unlike many Pals on this list, looks like a badass fighter that you’d rather not cross paths with. However, that ferocious look hides a sensitive and jumpy creature inside. It was even considered an omen of bad things once, due to its harsh demeanor.
Unfortunately, sometimes we do display ferocious behavior to others, even without trying. In order not to get hurt or taken advantage of, we can be a bit cold to people, especially ones we don’t know well. Just like Kitsun though, these people are also sensitive inside most of the time, proving we shouldn’t be judgy so fast.
3Elphidran
Elphidran is a graceful-looking Dragon Pal. While you would potentially expect a giantDragon to be aggressive or ferocious, Elphidran is anything but that. This dragon is so pure and gullible in fact, it is often taken advantage of as it cannot see through others' facades.
While we usually think of ourselves as smart and hard to take advantage of, we do sometimes trust others a bit too quickly and a bit too much. Many people, especially those who are too nice to call others out may relate to Elphidran.
2Lyleen
Lyleen is as nice of a Pal as you can get as possible. It’s described as a docile Pal, and it watches over smaller Pals as a sort of surrogate parent. While it does use some harsh methods to discipline naughty ones, it’s generally very sweet.
While many are hesitant to pat themselves on the back, there are tons of charitable people out there. This is especially true when children are concerned, just like Lyleen. In short, you all are lovely people and we’d like to acknowledge it.
1Petallia
There are several relatable Pals in the game with different relatable qualities, whether it is procrastination, gullibility, or a caffeine addiction. However, Petallia is relatable in a deeper way, in that it’s temporary just like us.
While that may seem dark, it is beautiful in a way. Petallia transforms into a giant plant and reincarnates as a beautiful flower every decade. We all have a limited time on this earth and should strive to make the most of it, eventually becoming a beautiful part of nature once again.
