The recentYakuzagames have pretty easy completions/platinum trophies, withYakuza: Like a DragonandLike a Dragon Gaidenbeing not that bad at all compared to the likes ofYakuza 0.Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealthbumped up the difficulty a little bit.

It’s still not as bad as the classics, but definitely a step up in regards to challenging fights, completion length, somewhat tedious tasks, and multiple playthroughs if you’re going for the DLC achievements. That’s right, New Game Plus is mandatory for a full 100 percent completion, an element not usually required.

A photo of a rainbow in Like a Dragon Infinite Wealth

14G/Bronze

Photographed a rainbow in the skies of Hawaii.

An achievement you can easily miss if you don’t know about it is Somewhere Over The Rainbow. To get it, you simply take a picture of a rainbow, but that’s easier said than done. A rainbow doesn’t appear randomly as you may think and instead appears under a circumstance you must know about.

During the story mode, it can rain, and at that moment, you’ll want to head straight for the beach. After the rain clears up, that’s when the rainbow will appear. You definitely want to do this during your main playthrough, as it hardly ever rains in Premium Adventure.

Makoto Date, Akiyama, and Kiryu drinking in Like a Dragon Infinite Wealth

42G/Silver

Kiryu has two main side objectives: the Memoirs of a Dragon and Life Links. Life Links are the juicy bit as they involve more crucial plot developments with the side characters and have more gameplay. You should be able to play them naturally over the course of the game, but the final two can prove troublesome.

You must reach Awakening levels 8 and 9 to play the last ones. This means you’ll probably have to grind out Part-Time Hero jobs around the map to get your stats up. It’s a bit tedious, but shouldn’t take too long, and the poundmate rewards you get for completing these Life Links are well worth the effort.

Robo Michio from Like a Dragon Infinite Wealth

Conquered the Hawaiian Haunt.

The core game has two main dungeons, and both have some nasty boss fights. The Hawaiian Haunt’s interesting because the second to last boss encounteris actually the hardest one. You’ll face off against Robo Michio, and it’s brutal for the recommended level suggested. He has a massive health bar here with powerful moves to match.

Halfway through the fight, he’ll start spamming Destructo Beam, which will absolutely wreck your party. It’s very likely that the climax of this fight will just be Ichiban trading with Robo Michio until he goes down. The actual final boss of the dungeon isn’t as bad as while you are fighting multiple Robo Michios; their health got seriously trimmed down. Regardless, passing these fights is going to be tough.

Jo Amon defeated in Like a Dragon Infinite Wealth

Conquered the Yokohama Underground.

Equally as hard as Robo Michio, the Yokohama Underground offers the ultimate test: the Amon fight. These are a Yakuza tradition, and the fight is about as hard as you’d expect. You’ll actually have to battle four Amon clan members here, but Jo is the leader with the most health and moves.

As such, you’ll want to prioritize him, as Jo has some nasty moves up his sleeve. Halfway through the fight, he’ll perform a move with the clan that will almost always drain your whole health bar. He can also revive killed-off clan members, which you’ll want to avoid as well. Strategy is key here, and if you have a spare Sacrifice Stone, now’s the time to use it.

Meeting up with a woman through Miss Match in Like a Dragon Infinite Wealth

Met up with 5 people from Miss Match.

Infinite Wealth’s Miss Match minigame is essentially the title’s hostess club section. You’ll once again have to pick the correct choices, except now it’s even harder because if you fail to meet up, the progress with the women will be reset.

This means you’ll have to reach the heart line in one conversation, even furtherenforcing a guidethan the hostess clubs of games prior. To boot, your profile needs to match for a better success rate. Thankfully, you only need five dates instead of the full ten, which is much appreciated.

Some level 70 characters in Like a Dragon Infinite Wealth

Ichiban Kasuga has two major side activities that offer some of the hardest achievements. The first one is the Sujimon League, where you’ll need to assemble a stellar team of Sujimon, beef them up, andhave the strategy requiredfor the trainer battles. You can get a lot of the best Sujimon by finding level 50 raids, and while they’re hard, it’s worth it.

The difficulty with these top-tier Sujimon is a breeze until you get to the final battle. The King’s Sujimon roster is ungodly good, and you’ll absolutely want to nail those three stars on the Sujimon wheel. This can be made easier by pressing the home button to pause the game, but it still takes practice to nail three stars every time. Once you’ve beaten the King, it’s a massive relief off your shoulders.

Maxed out personality stats in Like a Dragon Infinite Wealth

Welcomed 100 guests to Dondoko Island.

One aspect of the game that not everyone will enjoy will be Dondoko Island. In a vein similar toAnimal Crossing, you’ll need to bump up the island to a five-star resort, which will involve clearing out the whole area as well as raising the satisfaction and popularity.

On your wayto completing its story, you’ll also work towards Island Hospitality. To get it, you must have 100 total guests visit the island. It’s not 100 total available guests, like you may think. This will likely occur after you beat the island’s story, meaning you’ll simply wait for time to pass to welcome in the next group of guests.

Kasuga, Nanba, and Adachi from Like a Dragon Infinite Wealth

Reached level 70 with Kasuga.

Getting tolevel 70 without the DLCwill be a massive grind due to the limited options available. New Game Plus and the Big Swell help a lot here, with both giving plenty of XP.

The Big Swell is quite challenging at first but does get easier over time, and the end bosses aren’t nearly as bad as those in the core game’s dungeons. By the time you beat the Big Swell, you still likely won’t be at level 70, but one more go of the final floor should do the trick. Good luck if you’re not spending the $20 on the DLC.

Raised all of Kasuga’s personality stats to max.

One thing that’s nice about Infinite Wealth’s achievement list is that, for Kiryu, you only need to max out one of his three stats. The same can not be said for Ichiban Kasuga. Maxing out all six personality traits will take you deep into Premium Adventure, but there are a few ways to speed up the process.

Passing all the Vocational School exams gives you tons of stat points, and it doesn’t take too long, either. Aloha Links are another great option, so make sure to greet everyone in town. The final way to beef up your personality stats is with restaurants. Eating everything on the menu in a given restaurant will pass a personality challenge, giving you a nice amount of stat points.

35G/Silver

Completed New Game+ on Legend difficulty.

Beating New Game Plus on Legend difficulty is a tall order. The recommended starter level is 75. Not 70, 75. Even when you finish everything in Premium Adventure, you’ll still have to grind a while to get to the recommended level.

Once you begin, you’ll discover that Legend difficulty is no joke. The damage dealt here is pure savage, and it never lets up. Some of the bosses are wildly difficult, especially near the end. verify you’re prepared in terms of gear and items on your save file before jumping in.
