This dynamic shines through wonderfully in The Hardest Sell side quest, giving you even more reason to love this group of characters and Kyrie!
The Hardest Sell Overview
Before you may accessThe Hardest Sellquest in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, you will first need to complete theWhen Words Won’t Do side questtogain access to the Crow’s Nestin theJunon Region.Upon completion,Tobywill invite you into the area and ask you to check on a ‘merc’ in the area.
From here, headsouth from the Crow’s Nest, beyond the very long bridge,and use yourChocobo to scale the walls,revealing a highly decorated area with music blaring. Head up the stairs to find the one and onlyKyriewaiting for customers.
Speak to Kyrie to have her reveal her plot to market Cloud’s mercenary skills before agroup of monsters appear,forcing Cloud and company to deal with them to save Kyrie. You can learn more about the enemies in the section below!
The Hardest Sell Walkthrough
As mentioned in the section above, you will have tospring into action and fight groups of monstersthat appear in the area, which will be theremainder of your duties for The Hardest Sell questline.While they’re not the most challenging groups of enemies, some surprises are thrown into the mix, making things tricky.
Nonetheless, the sections below will outline each wave of monsters and the best ways to deal with them. We alsosuggest equipping the Assess Materiahere, as thelast group of monsters will be worth gathering data on,as you won’t have the opportunity to do so again!
Combat Encounter One
Your first combat encounter will be againsttwo Flan enemies,which are slow-moving but can be tricky to handle if you aren’t adequately prepared. Furthermore,defeating the first twoFlan willspawn three more in,so be on your best guard for that. You can learn more about their Weaknesses and how to Stagger them in the table below!
How To Stagger
Exploiting its Weakness to Fire will Pressure it severely. Flan also drops MP Recovery items upon defeat.
Combat Encounter Two
After defeating a total of five Flan,three Igniliskswill appear, which are substantially easier to deal with than the impenetrable collection of slime and sludge. As we did with the previous combat encounter, you can learn more about the Ignilisk in the table below!
Exploiting its Weakness to Blizzard will apply tremendous amounts of pressure to it, causing it to lose access to some of its attacks.
Combat Encounter Three
Making quick work of the three Ignilisks will spawnfour more Flaninto the arena. Thesame methods from earlier will be appliedhere, so refer to the table in the first combat section above for more information on the Flan enemies. Just remember to use Fire, and you’re set for success!
Combat Encounter Four
Ourfourth and final phaseinvolvestwo White Mousse,anentirely new enemy typethat you should take the opportunity toAssess.While similar to the Flan monsters you’ve been fighting, the White Mousse is much more formidable and challenging to deal with. The table below will outline what you’re able to do do best them in battle!
Elemental Damage will Pressure them considerably at the cost of making them Resistant to it, ultimately having them Absorb that Element. It’s advised to use a variety of Elements when facing this foe.
After Absorbing enough Elemental Energy, the White Mousse will unleash a powerful Magical Attack that must be avoided at all costs!
The Hard Sell Completed
With the two White Mousse enemies slain,Kyriewill leave the area after giving Cloudunique Chocobo Gearshe designed, which you can see on the Chocobo in the background.
After that,Tobywill reappear, thanking you for your efforts and finishing the quest.Cloud’s bond with Red XIII will deepenas a result, and you will also gain10 Party EXPand500 EXP!
