Quick Links
Strange events and creatures have popped up all over the Pacific Northwest thanks to pockets of instability. InPacific Drive, you are tasked with driving out into the world to find energy from the remains of what once was a great scientific landscape.
Early on in the game, Oppy asks you to find Anchors of stable energy on your drives out. Stable energy can be found in almost every route, and you must obtain enough to complete a level and return to the shop. In this guide, we will go over how to find stable energy and what to do with it once you are back at the garage.
Where To Find Stable Energy
Stable energy is thefirst of three energy sourcesthat you will have to discover and collect in Pacific Drive. The other two energy sources, unstableandcorrupted, will appear once you reach the Mid Zone and the Deep Zone, respectively.
Stable energy can be seen on the map inside your car. The map will haveyellow markers with a small circlearound them. A single stable energy Anchor is located inside the radius of these circles.
If you are having trouble finding an Anchor in a given radius, the Anchor Radar - a crafted item - can help you detect and pinpoint them when not in the car.
Anchor Radars can be especially helpful when your car has a quirk that scrambles the map data.
How To Use Stable Energy
Once you have found an Anchor of stable energy, you need tocollect it and bring it to your vehicle’s ARC device. The ARC device harnesses and stores the stable energy for later use.
To do this, interact with the Anchor you have discovered todislodge itfrom the mounting platform. Anchors can not go in your bags and canonly be carried in your hands.
Upon removing a stable energy Anchor from the bracket, a surge of energy will burst out. This will trigger dormant anomalies.
When you find an Anchor platform, park your vehicle about 30 meters awayor farther so that Anomalies do not interrupt you.
Return to your vehicle remnant, approaching the vehicle from thepassenger side. Open the passenger door and set the Anchor on top of the convex surface of the ARC device. You will see the Anchor evaporate, and itsenergy will be added to the meter on the right side of the map.
Establishing Gateways
Stable energy’s first use is explained on your first outing. Oppy tells you that to return to the Auto Shop from a mission, you must establish a gateway link to teleport back. Thesegateway links require varying amounts of energyto initiate; sometimes you may only have to collect one Anchor of stable energy to return, while other times, teleporting can require three Anchors.
Once you have the required energy - displayed on the monitor next to the map - you can select one of theorange markersto establish a link.
Careful, as once you have established a link to a gateway, astorm will begin to consume the entire mapfrom the outside. Be ready to drive non-stop until you reach the gateway.
Upon reaching the gateway, you will be teleported back to the garage. Thegateway is one-way, so you will be unable to return to the junction. Back in the Auto Shop, the stable energy you used to establish the link to the gateway will be converted back into stored currency.
Used As Currency
The next use for stable energy comes in the form of currency tounlock new equipment, decorations, or serviceswhile in the garage.
TheFabristationis Pacific Drive’s progression system. It requires you to have pre-requisite unlocks, crafting materials, andstable energy to research new technologyand progress through its tree.
TheTinker Stationis the only way toget rid of your car’s random quirksthat are applied while driving. you’re able to utilize stable energy toprovide hintsto your car’s quirk. You can also use a large amount of stable energy tosolve the quirkcompletely.
TheDeco-Vendis a station that will provide you with randomcosmeticsin exchange for precious stable energy.
Anchor Energy Converter
Down the road - pun intended - you will have a surplus of stable energy without too much left to spend it on. Once this happens, you may research theAnchor Energy Converterat the Fabristation.
The Anchor Energy Converter willconvert additional stable energy into battery power:
