Once you pull a new character inGenshin Impact, choosing the best weapon for them is one of the most important decisions. The effect weapons have on a character’s ability is already clear when you see an entire banner dedicated to the signature weapon for the featured five-star units.
This is the same forXianyun, a five-star Anemo unit who wields a Catalyst as a weapon. This character brings Plunge Attacks back into the meta, but her weapon choices are unfortunately quite limited.
9Eye Of Perception
Xianyun isone of the few healerswho scale the amount of healing done on their ATK. This already makes most of the healing-based weapons useless on her since they usually scale on HP. Thankfully, you have a bunch of ATK-scaling weapon choices like the Eye of Perception for her.
Apart from giving you a ton of ATK, this weapon also fires a bolt that deals massive damage to four opponents at regular intervals. This can give Xianyun a bit of extra damage, but you’ll need to have her on the field to trigger this effect.
8Skyward Atlas
Skyward Atlas is essentially the five-star version of Eye of Perception as a major part of its passive is similar to the four-star variant. It gives you lower ATK Percent on the secondary stat at the maximum level, but its base ATK is way higher, which is better for the character’s multipliers.
This weapon increases your Elemental DMG Bonus apart from spawning favor of the clouds that can deal constant damage to nearby enemies for 15 seconds. The cooldown on this passive ability is longer, but it also lasts for much longer.
7Flowing Purity
Flowing Purity is a craftable weapon that can be acquired from the blacksmith in Fontaine, and you can get a lot of value from this weapon if you’re planning to use Xianyun as a sub-DPS. Apart from the high base ATK, it also gives some Elemental DMG Bonus from its passive.
Furthermore, when you use the Elemental Skill, you may gain some extra Elemental DMG Bonus based on your HP. Of course, your Xianyun won’t have a high HP since she’s ATK-scaling, which is the reason for the low rank of this weapon.
6Sacrificial Fragments
Xianyun’sfirst constellationallows her to have two charges for her Elemental Skill, and this weapon essentially does the same as long as you have it on high Refinement. It also gives her a bunch of Elemental Mastery if you’re planning to use her as an elemental reaction support.
Xianyun has quite a high Energy cost and you’ll suffer from a lot of Energy Recharge problems if she’s the only Anemo character in your team. This weapon is perfect for these situations, but you’ll need to build a lot of ATK on her artifacts.
5Kagura’s Verity
This is quite an interesting weapon when it comes to the synergy with Xianyun since it gives you an Elemental Skill DMG bonus whenever you use it. Xianyun has to press her Skill three times before she does the final Plunge Attack, which takes this weapon to the maximum stacks.
At three stacks, it gives another 12 percent Elemental DMG Bonus to her at Refinement One, which can be decent for the extra Anemo DMG dealt by her Elemental Burst. However, the true synergy of this weapon shines when you have her sixth constellation since you can use her Skill infinitely.
4Favonius Codex
If you’ve played Xianyun even for a little while, you’ll realize that she has some glaring Energy regeneration problems. Favonius Codex is the perfect weapon to solve these problems for her support build since it gives you a whopping 45.9 percent Energy Recharge on the maximum level.
Not only that, but you can also get six neutral Energy particles every time your attacks score a Crit hit, which can be great for the Energy regeneration of your entire team.
3Oathsworn Eye
If you were lucky enough to get the fully upgraded Oathsword Eye during its limited-time event, you can put it on Xianyun without a second thought since this is the best in slot flour-star weapon for her.
It provides some ATK Percent on the secondary stat and gives her extra Energy regeneration right after using her Skill, which is everything this character needs. You can even think about building some Crit on her if you have this weapon.
2Memory of Dust
Memory of Dust might seem like an odd pick for Xianyun since she doesn’t provide any shields to her team, but it can still be a great weapon since characters like Zhongli or Navia are some of her best teammates.
As long as you have a character that can shield your team in any way, this weapon can enjoy the maximum benefit and give Xianyun a whopping 90 percent ATK Bonus with maximum stacks. Of course, you’ll have to keep her on the field for a bit longer to get the stacks.
1Crane’s Echoing Call
Finally, to no one’s surprise, Xianyun’s signature weapon is the best one you can use on her. It might have a low ATK Percent on its secondary stat, but it also has one of the highest base ATK you’ll see on any weapon in the game, which gives a massive boost to her multipliers.
It also increases the Plunge Attack DMG of all party members when Xianyun does a Plunging Attack using her Skill, and the Plunges from other party members gives her a bunch of Energy, making her Burst have 100 percent uptime easily.
