Acquiring Sulphite is one of the main prerequisites of farmingPath of Exile’sDelve mechanics. All these Delve farming strategies require thousands of Sulphites to compete with other farming methods like Legion, Breach, Abyss, Delirium, or even Heists. So, you have to farm Sulphites fast and efficiently. Otherwise, you will end up farming more currency with other strategies.

Luckily, after hours of grinding Delve, we’ve managed to find the most efficient strategy for farming Delve. Here are the best Sulphite farming methods so you rarely have to touch maps ever again. Don’t worry, that Aul’s Uprising you are probably farming will drop in no time!

Getting Sulphite from a Voltraxic node

What Is Sulphite?

Sulphite is somewhat of an intangible asset in Path of Exile. When you see a Sulphite deposit or node and click on it,you’ll automatically pick it up under a separate currency-like meter. Once you collect enough Sulphites, you’ll use these to traverse the Azurite Mine in Delve.

The Azurite Mine has a ton of depth. The deeper you go, the more Sulphite you need to move your mining cart. Every time you run out of Sulphite, you’ll be forced to run other forms of content. This particular issue is the one we want to solve if you just want to run the Azurite Mine as many times as possible.

Where Do You Get Sulphite?

Voltaxic Sulphite Veins, found in regular maps, drop a considerable amount of Sulphite. This isthe only wayyou can acquire it.

Voltaxic Sulphite Veinsdon’t have a 100 percent spawn rate in maps. However, you canalter the spawn rate and drop quantitywith fragments, master missions, and atlas skill nodes. Here’s when it gets extremely complicated.

Sulphite Infusion Atlas Skill Node

Mandatory or Optional?

Guarded Hoards

Voltaxic Sulphite Veins and chests found inside your maps have a five percent chance of containing double Sulphite.

Sulphite Veins and chests found inside your maps are guarded by Sulphite-hoarding monsters.

Packed With Energy Atlas Skill Node

Mandatory

Mining Byproducts

Sulphite Veins and chests found inside your maps have a ten percent chance to also contain an equal amount of Azurite.

Sulphite Infusion

Your white tier maps give 200 additional Voltaxic Sulphite when completed.

On the other hand, yellow tier maps give 350.

Finally, red tier maps will give you the most amount of Voltaxic Sulphite when you complete them: 500.

Mad Devotion

Your maps have a four percent chance of giving an additional Niko mission bonus when completed.

Optional

Guarded Hoards and Sulphite Infusion provide the best value in Sulphite returns. Mining Byproducts provides a speed increase in upgrading your mining cart, more specifically, your Sulphite carrying capacity because of all the additional Azurite.

Mad Devotion is only optional since you need a specific setup to capitalize on it. We’ll discuss it later in the farming method strategies.

Sulphite Scarabs in the Fragment Tab

The Packed with Energy atlas skill node helps your character get strongerby providing these buffs:

This single node significantly powers up your character. Others even take this node without even running a Delve setup and they only use this to power up their character.

Sulphite Scarabs inside the map device

Once you have taken all the significant atlas nodes, freely use up your remaining atlas points in buffing the map drops. You want to replenish your maps, so you can sustain your runs for farming Sulphite. Allocate all the nodes that say “Maps found have a five percent chance to be one tier higher.”

These nodes improve your overall map drop rates while in maps. Don’t worry about allocating these atlas skill nodes when you have plans to change them in the future. Resetting your atlas skill points works the same way asresetting your passive skill points; they just use different currencies.

The Best Sulphite Farming Method

This method needs a slight currency investment, but it should quadruple your speed in getting Sulphite.

We want tobuy the cheapest Sulphite Scarab(Rusted) and use the Sulphite Scarab when opening a map.

When you are opening a map, place the Rusted Sulphite Scarab in the map device.

Upon opening the map, there will be a 100 percent chance of spawning Voltaxic Sulphite Veins. You don’t have to worry about the spawn rates anymore. Every map, along with all the atlas skill nodes, should net you roughly 5,000 to 25,000+ Sulphites per map depending on the Guarded Hoards procs.

You can increase this more by improving your Rusted Sulphite Scarab to a Gilded or Winged version. However, this will cost a significant amount of currency to run per map and the cost isn’t worth it. We only want to use the Sulphite Scarab to force the spawn of Voltaxic Sulphite Veins in our maps.

The maps you run play a pivotal role here. You want to run T16 maps to maximize the Sulphite drops. Without all the atlas nodes and Scarab map buffs, T16 maps naturally drop 1,000+ Sulphites per Voltaxic Sulphite Vein. The higher your map tier, the more Sulphites you get.

A Free Alternative Farming Method

While this might not be the best method, this strategy eliminatesthe process of going to the trade websiteand buying the Sulphite Scarabs. If you look in your map device, you’ll see four master emblems under the three major influences. The third emblem contains Niko’s master mission.

If you select the third emblem and open a map,it’ll spawn Voltaxic Sulphite Veins in your map for free. However, the numbers you see on the master emblem represent the number of times you can use it.

The red numbersignifies the number of red tier maps you can run with the master emblem activated. The same goes for the other colors. To increase this number, you’ll need to run more maps. You’ll have a chance to gain a random master emblem buff whenever you finish a map.

The trick here is toallocate every map node and master node in your atlas skill tree to increase your chances of getting the buff. Run as many maps as possible until you get Niko’s master emblem buff. Rinse and repeat!
