Summary
With well over 800 different emotes inFortnite, there are many different ways to express yourself while in the game. Among this vast number of emotes, there are quite a few that are called Traversal Emotes and offer unique ways to move around the map.
Traversal emotes differ from regular emotes since they allow you to move around while completing a driving animation, dance, or even a special walk. If you are curious about which traversal emotes you should purchase, then check out the list below.

While Fortnite’s traversal emotes allow you to move around the map while emoting, they will never increase your character’s movement speed. Traversal Emotes are purely cosmetic items, meaning these emotes will never offer you any competitive advantage.
10Roller Vibes
If you are a fan of the singer Doja Cat, then Roller Vibes emote is the perfect traversal option for you. You can use this emote whenever you want by simply equipping the Joy skin, a skin that is typically in the shop during Pride Month.
Specifically, the Roller Vibes emote plays the song “Kiss Me More” by Doja Cat and features Joy riding along to the music on her rollerblades. While this traversal emote is incredibly unique and plays some great music, it can only be used while playing as Joy, limiting the overall usefulness and appeal of this particular emote.

9Go Cat Go
The Go Cat Go traversal emote is another example of an emote that can only be utilized by one specific character. In this instance, the Kit skin was released in the Chapter 2 Season 3 battle pass, and features a cat that is piloting a mech suit made out of scrap and tires.
The Go Cat Go transforms this humanoid robot into a motorbike, while also playing hardcore metal music. The best part of this emote is watching the cat headbang and meow alongside the music, but since this skin came in a battle pass there is currently no way to get the emote and skin in the shop.

8Balletic
The Balletic traversal emote is a distinctive entry on this list, since it can turn any of your characters into a masterful dancer. Dramatic music will play whenever you activate this emote and your character will begin performing pirouettes and spins.
You will slowly move forward as you complete these spins, and the music will get increasingly more intense. Remember that even though you are jumping and spinning around with this emote, your character’s hitbox will always stay the same, meaning you can still get hit by bullets.

7Gangnam Style
In 2012, the song Gangnam Style took middle school students, and the entire world, by storm. The song has made its way onto Fortnite as botha jam trackand a traversal emote, allowing you to play the famous track whenever you please.
The emote has your playable character doing the classic dance from the song’s music studio, where the dancers imitate riding on a horse and shifting from side to side. The best part about using this traversal emote is to taunt players you have just downed, as it can be the cherry on top of an epic elimination.

6Lil' Carpet Ride
While many traversal emotes feature popular dances or music, there is also a subsection of traversal emotes that feature small vehicles. The Lil' Carpet Ride emote is a part of this set, and allows your character to float around the map on a magic carpet.
On top of riding on the carpet, this emote also comes with both wind and sparkling sound effects to make it truly feel like you are on a magic carpet ride. While this emote does allow you to fly, you’ll only be able to hover on the ground and move slowly, so don’t think you can use this emote to take off and land on a building.

5Full Tilt
Along with the Narutoanime collab, the Full Tilt traversal emote allows your character to run like a ninja. This run is a classic staple of the anime as well as meme culture and involves your character sprinting while holding their hands behind their back.
Even though this traversal emote is popularized by Naruto characters, you’re able to equip and utilize this emote with any other skin in the game. Remember that even though your character is running with this emote, you will still slowly move around the map, so this emote can not be used as a replacement for running.

4Lil' Bounce
The Lil' Bounce emote is another traversal emote that allows you to pilot a small vehicle. This particular emote features a small convertible muscle car that your character will steer with one hand while blasting loud music that perfectly matches the vehicle’s cool aesthetic.
Most importantly, the four wheels on this car feature hydraulics, which will bounce the car up and down while you move around the map. These hydraulics work alongside the music to bounce the car along to the beat of the song, making this form of transport stand out.

3Arachrobatics
The Arachrobatics traversal emote was released with the Chapter 3 Season 4 battle pass, so there is no current way to unlock the emote in the shop. Even though this content is locked, Arachrobatics still shines as one of the best traversal emotes available.
This particular emote was releasedalongside a collaborationwith the recent Spider-Verse movies and is best used by the Spider-Gwen skin that also came with the pass. Thankfully, this emote is not locked to a single character and allows you to complete a series of flips with matching comic book visual effects.

2Chugga-Chugga
The Chugga-Chugga traversal emote is by far the most unique traversal emote in the entire game. Released alongside a bundle of cartoon-inspired skins, this is yet another traversal emote that allows you to steer a small cartoon train, complete with music, smoke, and a train horn sound effect that randomly plays whenever you are driving around.
This emote truly stands out because of its functionality since anyone in your Fortnite lobby can interact with you while the emote is active, and get added to the train. In some instances, you can even have up to ten or more players all part of your train at once, and each player will sit in their cart and follow your movements while this traversal emote is active.

1Get Griddy
Every year, statistics are released about the most popular emotes in Fortnite, and the Get Griddy traversal emote always lands in the most used category. This particular emote uses music from the song “Right Foot Creep” by YoungBoy, and also features a now iconic dance move.
This skin is so popular because many players enjoy spamming the dance whenever they down an enemy or wipe an entire team. If you enjoy using an iconic emote to upset your enemies or simply enjoy YoungBoy’s music, then this is definitely the perfect emote for you.
