Given the turn-based nature ofHonkai: Star Rail’scombat, building a synergistic team around every DPS character is likely the most important aspect of their gameplay. Even with one of the best DPS characters in the game like Acheron, you might not get much value without the right supports.
Released during the Version 2.1 update for the first time, Acheron is the first Nihility DPS unit that actually requires a good Crit Ratio to work. You also need to choose some specific team members if you want to get value from her.

Role In Team
Secondary DPS / Debuffer
While the Acheron and Dan Heng team composition might feel a little off on paper, these two can actually work together, especially during the early game. Dan Heng’s Skill reduces the enemy’s SPD by 12 percent whenever it Crits, which can go up to 20 percent if you manage to unlock her final Eidolon.
Apart from dealing some respectable DMG, this SPD reduction also counts as a debuff that helps Acheron get her own Ultimate faster. Moreover, the slower the enemies are, the lower are your chances of defeat. Put together another AoE buffer or debuffer on the team and you’ll find this team giving you significant value.

When people first saw Acheron’s path being Nihility, they were hoping that she could work well togetherwith the likes of Kafkasince they share the path and combat type. While this might not be the best synergy in the game, it can still work well together if you really want it to.
Kafka applies the Shock DoT whenever she uses her follow-up attack, Ultimate, or breaks the enemy’s Weakness. This DoT counts as a debuff, which directly helps Acheron get her Ultimate back. If you pair these two with Ruan Mei to get higher Weakness Break efficiency, your enemies might not even get a chance to attack.

Sustainer / Debuffer
If you’ve been playing Honkai: Star Rail since its launch, there’s a high chance that you’ve already acquired a copy of Welt since you can get him from both the Standard Banner and losing your 50:50 on the Character Event banner. If you set the stage correctly, you can use this character as a sustainer alongside Acheron.
The main idea here is to constantly reduce the enemy’s SPD and get rid of their Weakness as fast as possible. The debuffs provided by Welt help Acheron charge her Ultimate while the high Toughness damage and Imprisonment from the Ultimate help him keep your team alive, especially alongside the likes of Ruan Mei.

Debuffer
In the current state of Honkai: Star Rail, you don’t have a lot of choices for debuffers that can directly help Acheron’s DMG. However,Guinaifen is one such F2P-friendly option. Whenever she’s on the team and the Burn effect triggers on the enemy, she gives them a stack of Firekiss.
This stack can be applied on an enemy’s turn as well, which makes it significantly easier to build up Acheron’s Ultimate. The more Firekiss stacks you have on the enemy, the more damage Acheron will deal to them.

Black Swan’s synergy with Acheron is quite similar to that of Guinaifen, except she can give you both a lower or a higher value depending on your account and the enemies you’re fighting. Her Skill reduces the enemy’s DEF while her Ultimate applies another debuff on them, making it easier to get Acheron’s Ultimate.
Apart from the direct help, she can also deal quite a respectable amount of DMG on her own. However, this team truly shines when you have a third DoT unit on the team to help Black Swan gain more Arcana stacks, which essentially makes your team a triple DPS composition.

Silver Wolf was one of the first supports released in Honkai: Star Rail, and she had quite a high position in the meta on release. However, this position consistently went down with time since people started having DPS units for almost every combat type, making the Weakness implant from her Skill quite useless.
However, she’s one of the best supports you’ll find when it comes to Acheron. Not only does she apply debuffs with all her abilities, but also gives a massive DEF shred on the enemy that increases Acheron’s damage. You can also manage your Crimson Knot stacks much better with her.

DMG booster
The synergy between Sparkle and Acheron is quite conditional, and you need a lot of setup to make this work. Firstly, if you’re using these two together, it usually means you’ll only be able to have one other Nihility unit on the team, which directly reduces your overall damage by 45 percent unless you have Acheron’s second Eidolon.

However, this damage nerf can be negated if you have a Light Cone with its own debuff on Acheron. These Light Cones will let you get two stacks of Ultimate when she uses her Skill, which can happen much more often with Sparkle in the team, making this team quite terrifying to go against.
Finally, Pela takes the crown of being the best support for Acheron in the current state of the game. The main reason for this is her ability to get a high uptime on her Ultimate, which shreds all enemies' DEF at once. This directly buffs Acheron’s Ultimate damage quite a lot.
Moreover, once you have her on the fourth Eidolon, you can apply a debuff even with her Skill. This debuff might be useless for Acheron, but it still gives her a free Ultimate stack. Even if you don’t have this Eidolon, you can get a similar effect with certain Light Cones like Resolution Shines As Pearls of Sweat.
