Summary
Dragon’s Dogma 2highly focuses on the aspect of team building. It is important to choose pawns for your party that cover all the weak aspects of your main hero. For instance, if you are playing as a fighter who excels in close combat, you will need Mage or Archer vocations in your party to cover long distances and become unbeatable.
Your party should be as versatile as possible if you really want to conquer the endgame battles. When forming a party, it all comes down to your preference. However, you will still want a party that covers all aspects of battle, including crowd control, healing, long-range support, and melee.

6The Blade Bow Brilliance
If you prefer close-range combat and have chosen Fighter as your main, then you will need pawns who can cover long-range, as ranged vocations can boost your offensive prowess when playing as a fighter. That is why you should opt for Archer, Mage, or Sorcerer for your party, and you may choose to keep both Sorcerer and Mage in this party composition.
While an Archer and Sorcerer will help your fighter deal most of the damage, a Mage will ensure support and healing; on the other hand, an Archer can also provide aerial support. Your Fighter will already be a tank and draw most enemies to itself, so it will need as much support as possible, and this party composition can single-handedly wipe out enemies and is capable of dealing with the most damage.

5The Offensive Force
Another great party composition for players who have chosen Warrior as their main pawn is Warrior, Mage, and Sorcerer; the Warrior will act as a frontline fighter and deal with powerful attacks and it will tank any incoming damage, soyou will need pawns that can offer maximum support to Warrior. This is why a mage should always be present in your party if you’re going with a Warrior as your main pawn, as it will need maximum healing from the Mage.
Furthermore,Mage can also help remove any status ailments and debuffs from allies, and you may also keep Sorcerer on your party to deal with maximum damage. So, while the Warrior will be fighting in the front line in close combat with enemies, the Mage will do all the healing, and the Sorcerer will be dealing damage using magical attacks. For your last party member, go for either an Archer or a Thief to amp up your offense even more.

Mystic Spearhand is also a great choice if you want crowd control and deal attacks with high AOE. Another pro of Mystic Spearhand is that it uses Mirour Vesture, which is capable of blocking out any incoming attacks.
4Shadow, Spell And Sorcery
Thief is a great vocation to choose as your main pawn, thanks to its shadow cloak skill that will allow you to sneak around without getting detected; it is a decent melee vocation as well and draws most of the enemies but does not have enough defense to take on a lot of them. Therefore, it is always a great strategy to have a Mage with any party that uses a thief as its main pawn.
Adding a mage will verify that your parties have enough support and that their health does not deteriorate. Other than that, adding a Sorcerer to deal with magical damage will definitely be a good addition to this composition.

You will also want to max out your offensive prowess, so for that, you will need to use physical vocations like fighters or warriors. They will act as tanks to any incoming damage while your main pawn will cut through the crowd to deal decent damage.
3Arrowfighter And Blade Brawns
If you prefer ranged combats and have chosen Archer as your main vocation, then you will want to keep a Fighter or a Warrior at your party. This is because Archers have great long-range combat abilities but cannot survive in close-range encounters.
Therefore, you will need a tank to absorb most of the incoming damage, and for that, Fighter and Warrior are recommended. You can also go for a sorcerer instead if you like to deal some magical damage, as it is important to keep a Mage to keep your allies healthy and always battle-ready.

2The Crafty Trio
If you have chosen Mage to be your main pawn, then you will want as maximum offense in your party as possible. You will also need maximum crowd control skills, and for that, you may choose either Trickster or Mystic Spearhand.
Both of them have great support abilities, especially Trickster, as it can buff allies and control enemies, allowing your party to dominate the battlefield. With Mage as your main pawn, you should consider keeping either a Warrior or a Fighter to deal much damage, and you can even keep both of these vocations in your party with Mage if you want to deal great damage.

1The Mystic Vanguards
Players who have chosen Sorcerer as their main vocation would want a melee vocation in their party as well, and they can go for Fighter or Warrior to cover their front lines and charge straight into enemies. With Fighter, you will also get defense, and it will aggro enemies to draw them in, which will give you a window to hit your enemies using powerful spells.
Mage will buff and heal your allies to add maximum support, and while you may keep an Archer, it is not recommended since your Sorcerer will already cover a long-range. As your fourth party member, you can add either teeth or Mystic Spearhand for high AOE and crowd control.
