Summary
Nightingaleoffers a unique experience in the survival craft genre with the ability to transfer between realms using special cards and ancient portals. Cards can also be used to affect realms you are currently in, sometimes drastically altering them for better or for worse.
These minor realm cards can be found by exploring, purchased off an essence trader, or crafted yourself. While most minor realm cards also contain debuffs that make them risky, depending on how they are used, the best cards can greatly benefit your realm and its resources.
10Artisan Card
Despite the effects of this card, it is best used when exploring a new realm that you plan to be in for a good deal of time. This is due to the fact that it both increases the durability of all crafted items and allows you to place upgrade benches, enchanter’s focus, and workbenches without worrying about their environmental conditions.
The main benefit of this card is allowing you to stay inside a realm outside your base without having to teleport and travel back and forth every time your inventory is too full or you have an upgrade ready. Of all the cards, this one saves you the most time.
9Dragon Hoard Apogen Card
Best played in a new realm you are about to explore, the Dragon’s Hoard Apogen card makes all chests you open have more and rarer resources. The only downside is that your damage resistance is lowered, meaning you’ll have to be extra careful.
This is a card that you should want to play immediately, skipping all the chests you come across so that you may maximize your exploration efficiency. In the mid-game, this allows you to craft unique enchantments and gear by finding rare gems early.
8Maleficiate Card
Despite giving a unique benefit, this card also applies a unique debuff that makes it especially risky but worth it for the reward. The bargain is that enemies will drop rarer rewards and more often, but at the cost of eternal darkness and constant damage.
This means you need to make sure you have a source of warmth and a way to heal. Although it sounds not really worth it, the damage alone is very small, and in Antiquarian realms and higher, you can get access to an abundance of essential items.
7Settler Eminent Card
An upgraded version of the Settler Card, this card actually improves how fast your crops grow. It also has an effect on all refined materials, which makes the crafting rate almost one-to-one while applying a stamina regen debuff that likely won’t matter in your Abeyance realm.
This becomes much more useful after you have most of your crafting benches and augmentations, as you will be mostly working with refined materials, as well as being able to grow crops like wheat much faster. If you have both Settler and Settler Eminent, always choose the latter.
6Weighted Eminent Card
Unlike the Settler Eminent card, the Weighted Card is best used when harvesting raw resources in your Abeyance realm. The main effect is that it both increases the damage dealt while making more resources drop from anything you chop, cut, or break.
The debuffs make this card pretty limited, however, as it makes your falls more dangerous and limits your stamina, making exploration a pain. Although if you don’t plan on walking across the map, it is pretty much ideal for harvesting.
5Alchemist Card
Another card to play in your Abeyance realm, this card is best for late to mid-game when you have enough materials and a powerful enough alchemy station to craft useful potions. With the added bonus of increasing the magick power of items, it will help togreatly boost your gear score.
As an added bonus, it improves your rate of finding essence, which becomes gradually more and more important as you upgrade gear. With this card, it’s best to craft multiple as it likely won’t benefit you outside strictly crafting, as it will be played frequently.
4Harvester’s Workshop Card
This card allows you to craft tools that both harvest more resources with a reduced stamina cost. The only issue is it reduces the damage they deal, but this will likely never matter, as you won’t pull out your sickle to attack any monsters.
What’s great about this card is that you’re able to replace it while keeping the tools that are affected by it. This means you can craft as many as you need and essentially get the effects of two cards simultaneously. You can also gift these tools to recruits and allow them to harvest efficiently for you.
3Hunter Eminent Card
With the amount of refined and raw resources that are required for upgrading that comes from animals, it can become a pain to hunt them constantly. The Hunter card can help by increasing the resources any animal you kill yields.
However, it comes with a debuff that affects your damage to non-critical spots. This means you must be accurate and hit the head with yourgun or slingbow, but with the damage buff to these spots, you will likely always one-shot them, which means no more chasing deer across the forest.
2Industry Card
Another card fit for your Abeyance realm, this is a mid to late-game realm card that can help you craft ammunition more efficiently while making ore smelt faster. This also helps increase elemental ammunition yield, which is ideal as they are more difficult to craft than standard ammo.
Another buff this card grants that makes it one of the best is that refinement time for all items is also reduced, which means it can replace the Settler card if you care more about ammo than food.
1Treasury Eminent Card
One of the most important resources throughout all levels ofthe game is essence. While this can be used to purchase unknown recipes, it is best when crafting all kinds of unique infusions, enchantments, charms, and upgrading gear.
With the Treasury Eminent card, not only will the essence gathered be increased, but more will appear randomly when attacking monsters or harvesting resources. In Antiquarian realms, this can ensure you will have enough T1 Essence to last the rest of your playthrough.
