World of Warcraft: Plunderstorm is Blizzard’s take on the battle royale genre. With the acquisition of Spellbreak’s studio, the weird concept actually turned out to be extremely fun. A lot of it will be familiar to more veteran WoW players while bringing in novelty and accessibility to keep both them and newcomers happy.
While innovation and uniqueness are definitely found in Plunderstorm, there are a lot of hallmarks of the genre. One of them is the map. The Arathi Highlands are filled with plunder, but they are not divided equally throughout the land. These are the best places to drop in for the most plunder!

This list isn’t ranked until the top three entries. Prior to those, the places you’ll prefer to drop into will depend on your playstyle, how much you want to engage in early-game PVP, and whether you’re playing solo or duos.
On the other hand, the top three entries on this list are the best places you can go to, regardless of the conditions mentioned previously. They are what we consider the go-to drops for maximizing your chances of getting a victory.

9Kobold Mines
Two Hidden Treasures
This entry technically covers two different places. There are two Kobold mines in the Arathi Highlands, one near Stormgarde Keep, the other near Ar’Gorok. These have the bonus of not being named on the map, so they usually have fewer players dropping in.
Despite this, there are quite a few elite creatures in both areas, and you’ll often find multiple chests there, too. Most of the enemies you’ll find are casters, so keep moving to avoid taking too much damage. Once you’re done with these areas, you may try your luck at fighting the people who’re exiting either the Keep or Ar’Gorok or heading into more central locations.

8Witherbark Village
Ring Around The Lake
Witherbark Village is the weakest of the named areas in the Arathi Highlands. This area is essentially a circle surrounding a lake, so the elite creatures you’ll find here are really spread out. Enemies are also sprinkled around, so this definitely isn’t the best min-maxing place.
On the other hand, you may avoid most PVP if you drop here. There is nothing other than trees to block your vision, so you’ll see any players that might attempt to sneak up on you, and you should easily get away. Additionally, there are usually quite a few rares spread around this area, so you can try your luck there.

7Go’Shek Farm
Time To Ruin Some Crops!
The farms are excellent places to drop into. Much like Witherbark Village, there is essentially nothing to block your vision and allow other players to ambush you, but the enemies are much more concentrated here.
Go’Shek farm has quite a central location on the map for a named area, which is both a plus and a minus. Being in a central area gives you a lot more safety when it comes to the storm, but it also makes this such an attractive proposition that you’ll find it almost always packed with players. If you don’t want to be PVPing early on, we don’t recommend dropping here.

6Dabyrie’s Farmstead
We Do Hope The Dabyeries Don’t Mind
Dabyrie’s Farmstead has a nearly identical layout to Go’shek’s but is on the northern edge of the map. This gives it the opposite advantages and disadvantages of the aforementioned farm. Being on an edge can come back to bite you if you get unlucky with the circle, but it also means you’ll frequently be the only person dropping here.
If you’re not the only player in the area, you might have a tough time finding elite creatures, though. There aren’t many to find here, but you’ll still find quite a few chests and normal enemies around. It is, overall, a pretty good option if you want to avoid early PVP.

5Ar’Gorok
Plundering The Horde
Ar’Gorok isone of the bigger settlementsin World of Warcraft: Plunderstorm. There are many elite creatures to find here, but there will often be so many players dropping here that you’ll have a hard time killing more than one. Their outpost is essentially a circle, so despite its size, you may kill a lot of enemies quickly.
Furthermore, most of the elites here are inside small buildings, which can get you killed very easily if you’re not paying attention. Ambushes are frequent here, so we do not recommend dropping here solo, unless you’re a fan of early PVP. Regardless of the issues we pointed out here, you’ll still find a lot of loot and experience points in Ar’Gorok, if you’re willing to fight for it.

4Hammerfall
Ar’Gorok’s Smaller Brother
Hammerfall is essentially the smaller version of Ar’Gorok. The area size is slightly more compact, so it has fewer elite creatures. Some of them are still inside buildings, which isn’t ideal, but you’ll find a few of them out and about. What makes Hammerfall great, though, is the layout.
The outpost is essentially split in two, with half of it being on top of a platform. This makes it that, even if you drop here with multiple other players, most people will evenly split between the two halves. You can also get a cheeky kill on an elite as soon as you land, which can give you a great early boost. Be ready for some early-match PVP, though.

3Newstead
The Jewel Of The West
Newstead kicks off our ranked top three. This is the best farm in the Arathi Highlands, for a few different reasons. Firstly, it is at the western edge of the map, meaning that you won’t have a lot of competition dropping here. Additionally, it is much more concentraded than the two other farms mentioned in this list.
You have so many elite creatures in such a small space that if you land here alone, you’ll hit level 5 in a couple of minutes with a full loadout of spells. If you get unlucky and have company, you can avoid PVP while still getting sweet loot because the surroundings of Newstead are often packed with more elite creatures and a few chests.

2Circle Of Elements
The Secret Paradise
The Circle Of Elements can be our little secret. It is the best place to drop in the Arathi Highlands that isn’t named on the map. It has four elite creatures so close to each other that you can kill them all in a few seconds. Additionally, they’re all out in the open, so you can reliably one-shot one of themwith your landingimpact.
Additionally, you’ll usually find a lot of chests here and an extra elite enemy on top of the tower that you’ll see nearby. You can kill and loot everything in a few minutes. From there, you can either challenge the players that dropped inside Al’Gorok or head into the center of the map for a better long-term position.
1Stormgarde Keep
The Crown Jewel Of The Highlands
Stormgarde Keep is the biggest outpost in World of Warcraft: Plunderstorm, and it is also the best. It does suffer from all the issues that we mentioned in other outposts, but it more than makes up for it with the sheer amount of stuff you can find inside. There are dozens of enemies, at least ten elite creatures, a lot of chests, and a ton ofplunder to catch.
The huge area allows for multiple players to land here without leaving anyone hanging, and the amount of walls and obstacles allows for easier escapes if you do get caught. With that being said, if PVP is your thing, we’ve been in a ton of battles by the Keep’s gates, so you may definitely have your share of fun here.
