After beating the initial content inHonkai: Star Rail, most of your time will be spent trying to perfect the builds on either your existing characters or preparing for future units. This is especially true when you’re trying to build Acheron due to the complications in both her kit and team synergies.
Acheron is a five-star Nihility unit that’s supposed to be the main DPS on your team. Her Ultimate is the main aspect of her kit since it works differently from any other Ultimate in the game, and the damage you see is also quite staggering.
Best Acheron Relics And Planar Ornaments
There are many aspects that you’ll need to consider while you’re trying to build a character like Acheron, but herRelics and Planar Ornaments are arguably the most important ones. Not only do these give you most of the stat boosts, but they also give you special bonuses when you stack two or four pieces from the same set.
Fortunately, you have quite a variety of choicesdepending on how far into the game you are:
Relics
Pioneer Diver of Dead Waters
This is the best in slot relic set for Acheron as it gives her increased DMG against debuffed enemies while alsogiving her a Crit Rate and DMG boostbased on the debuffs on the enemy.
However, you have to remember that your Crit stats only get doubled if you apply a debuff on the enemy yourself, andCrimson Knot doesn’t count as one.
Band of Sizzling Thunder
Acheron can get quite a lot of DMG bonuses from her kit and the two-piece bonus of this set, sothe ATK from the four-piece reduces the diminishing returns.
Genius of Brilliant Stars
Finally, this set can give you a very close value to the best in slot set if the enemies you’re fighting have Quantum Weakness. However, it’llmake it a little harder to get a decent Crit Ratioon her.
Planar Ornaments
Izumo Gensei and Takama Divine Realm
This is the best in slot ornament set that was released specifically for Acheron. It gives you theATK Percent needed to prevent diminishing returnswhile also increasing your Crit Rate.
Inert Salsotto
If you can’t reach World Nine to farm the best set for Acheron, this can work quite well on her too. It gives her aneight percent Crit Rate and a 15 percent Ultimate DMGboost.
Sigonia, the Unclaimed Desolation
Finally, the second set on World Nine can also work surprisingly well on Acheron if you don’t have any Crit Rate problems. It cangive you a whopping 40 percent Crit DMG bonus.
However, this set is only worth it if you’re going to defeat a ton of enemies in quick succession, whichusually happens in endgame content like Pure Fiction.
Acheron Relic Stat Priority
While it’s important to choose the correct set for Acheron, it’s still farmore important to have the right stats on her relic pieces themselves. Here are all the stats you should be looking for on each piece:
ATK Percent
Crit DMG/Rate > SPD
When it comes to the Feet piece, the stat you should go for highly depends on Acheron’s Eidolon situation and your team. If you’re using her with zero Eidolons andtwo other Nihility units in your team, you can use ATK Percent bootssince the Nihility team members can give you the required Energy.
However, if you’re using a Harmony team member after getting Acheron on the second Eidolon,you’ll need SPD boots to let her get the turn as fast as possible.
Similarly, it’s recommended to have ATK Percent Sphereif you’re planning to use her with a Harmony unitthat gives a ton of DMG bonus.
Best Acheron Light Cones
Acheron’s Light Cone situation is, unfortunately, a little worse compared to her relics since thetwo best choices can only be acquired through the gacha system:
Along the Passing Shore
To no one’s surprise, Acheron’s signature Light Cone works the best for her build. It gives you a whopping 36 percent Crit DMG boost while alsoincreasing your Ultimate DMG by up to 48 percent, which is the main source of her damage.
Good Night and Sleep Well
This is the best four-star Light Cone you’re able to get for her, butkeep in mind that it doesn’t have a debuff application. With this Light Cone, you won’t be able to get the full benefit of the Pioneer relic set.
Resolution Shines As Pearls of Sweat
At maximum Refinement, this Light Cone gives you a chance toreduce the attacked enemy’s DEF by 16 percent, which is great for both increasing her DMG and applying a debuff for the Pioneer set.
Incessant Rain
With one or two extra Nihility characters alongside Acheron, it’ll be quite common to seethree or more debuffs on the enemy at the same time, which makes this Light Cone perfect.
It gives you a 12 percent Crit Rate while alsoapplying its own debuff that increases your DMG.
Loop
If you’re very early to the game, you can use the Refinement Five version of Loop on Acheron until you get a better one. However, you’ll have toget a SPD reduction debuff on the enemiesto make it work.
Acheron Trace Priority
Whenever you get a new character in Honkai: Star Rail, it’s quite easy to understand what their abilities do by reading their traces. However, this isn’t the samewhen you’re trying to build Acheron since her kit can easily confuse. Here’s a simple version of it explaining the major components:
As you can see from this description, Acheron’s Ultimate will be the priority when you’re upgrading her Traces. It’shighly recommended to get it all the way up to level ten as soon as you can. After the Ultimate, you can upgrade her Talent to get a higher RES PEN followed by the Skill at last.
Keep in mind that it’s important tounlock all her bonus abilitiesas fast as you can as well.
Is It Worth Pulling Acheron?
If you’re not already convinced by the sheer amount of trailers Acheron got on Honkai: Star Rail’s YouTube channel, she hasquite a lot of other things that’d instantly make you want to pull for her. Firstly, she can give you some of the highest damage numbers in one attack even at zero Eidolons.
In the current state of the game, Acheron might feel a little restrictive since there aren’t many good Nihility debuffers to use with her. However, thissituation will get much better as more characters get released in the game. She’s one of the most future-proof characters in the game, and you can easily pull for her if you enjoy the play style.
