What Is The Home Shopping Program?
Run by the shady businessman you’ll find at Paulownia Mall after your Charm skill is high enough,President Tanakais the host ofTanaka’s Amazing Commodities, ahome shopping programthat airs once a week.
Available from this program arerare items, costumes, gifts,andgear you can’t get elsewhere, and every listing on the program comes withone or more items per lotyou buy. If youhave the money on handwhile you watch the program and you’re interested in what’s being listed for sale, you’ll have the option tocall and order immediatelywhile watching the program.
Just be sure youhave the money on you before you turn on the TV, as you only have one chance to order from President Tanaka per week.
If you don’t order the first time you watch television, the program will sell out of the item, and you will not have another chance to purchase the set even if you watch TV a second time that day - without using the Rewind function, you can’t purchase it after the first airing.
When you order from Tanaka’s Amazing Commodities, yourorder normally arrives the following Tuesday.
If there’s a plot point that keeps you from controlling your protagonist that day (an exam or Full Moon fight, for instance), you’ll receive the shipment the next time you control your protagonist.

Except for some of the late-game dates tied to the story of Persona 3 Reload, Tanaka’s Amazing Commodities airsevery Sunday afternoonas soon as you gain control of your protagonist for the day.
He’ll often remark that it’s time for the home shopping program to remind you, in case you’ve lost track of dates.
Eitherin your room or in the loungeat the Iwatodai Dorms,watch television on Sunday morningsto tune in. Tanaka’s delightfully catchy theme song will begin playing immediately, and the man himself will appear on-screen to tell you what’s for sale.
You neverhaveto buy anything from the home shopping program, butTanaka’s Amazing Commodities is the only way to get certain itemsthroughout the game, likeTetracone and Makaraconefor the garden, so it always pays to at least check out what he’s got on offer that day.
Watching the home shopping program doesnotconsume your time slot - you still have free time once your order is placed.
Tanaka’s Amazing Commodities Item Schedule

Tanaka’s Amazing Commodities will air throughout January, but you can’t buy anything from him. After the public learns about The Fall, Tanaka only sells doomsday prep items that aren’t actually available for your protagonist to purchase.

- There are certain weeks when the schedule for the Shopping Channel in Persona 3 Reload changes based on story events, such as the unskippable track meet in August and occasional Full Moon operations.
In these cases, the program may be rescheduled to the Monday of the same week, or it will be skipped altogether.
