Skull And Bonestakes you onto the high seas for a multiplayer menagerie of high-stakes naval combat and sailing. Whether you love a good pirate adventure, just can’t get enough of ships, or maybe you simply like a good multiplayer game every so often; you may want more after your adventures with Skull And Bones are done.
Thankfully, there are some other games out there that have similarities to Skull And Bones as a whole. Some are a little sillier, while others are more modern, but no matter what brought you to ride the waves, there’s sure to be something else out there that you’ll enjoy.

10World Of Warships
Battle On The High Seas
One of the big things that draws people into Skull And Bones is the naval combat. There’s no feeling quite like bouncing over the waves while aiming cannons at an enemy on the horizon. Thankfully, there are other games that approach naval combat, one of the best of which isWorld Of Warships.
In the sea-based spin-off of theWorld Of Tanksseries, the creators tried their hardest to make everything as historically accurate as possible. While there may not be any ships older than the 20th century, it still lights up the brain to be able to sail the seas and destroy enemy ships with high-powered cannons, albeit they’re mounted on modern destroyers, but still.

9Rule The Waves 3
Think Master & Commander
Maybe you don’t want to be in charge of just one ship, maybe being a fleet commander would be more your speed? Well, if so, Rule The Waves 3 may be a game worth your time. It takes place between 1890 and 1970, in which you getto collect resourcesand build ships for naval combat between you and other navies.
It doesn’t have the dramatic scenery that Skull And Bones has — instead, your view is of world maps and various statistical tables. It’s a management meets rigorous naval combat experience where the smallest choice can make or break your fleet.

The learning curve on this game can be a little more than most. Especially if you haven’t dived into the more in-depth simulator or resource management games.
8Lego Pirates Of The Caribbean
“Not All Treasure Is Siver And Gold”
Sometimes, when you’re looking for a brand-new pirate adventure, you’ll have the urge to go for a more light-hearted approach. Sure, the fighting and cannons of Skull And Bones are fun, but who’s to say a more “bricky” pirate adventure can’t be good too?
Lego Pirates Of The Caribbean is one of the most acclaimed forays into theLego worldthat longtime fans and newcomers alike were excited about. You get to platform and puzzle-solve your way through levels modeled after the Pirates of the Caribbean films. So, if they were your first or favorite look into the concept of pirates, this is a must-play.

7Starfield
Pirates… In Spaaaaaace
One thing about being a pirate: you don’t have to do it on the high seas. Bethesda’sStarfieldbrings forth a universe at your disposal, in which you’re able to create and modify your own ship to sail across the stars.
While Starfield has taken some time to grow into its shoes, there’s still no game with the expansive map, and overall open-endedness that it allows for. Which, in-turn, meansmore space piratingfor you, if and when you get tired of all the sharks and rusty harpoons.

6One Piece Odyssey
King Of The Pirates
The great anime epic that has taken place across over a thousand episodes is a pirate tale unlike any other. But, thankfully for gamers, there are some pretty great games that take place in theOne Pieceuniverse as well.
One Piece Odysseytakes the series and turns it into a JRPG with some incredible pirate flavor to it. If you thought your tour of piracy could do with some more wacky characters and vivid art styles then this is a game to try out. Especially if you’re a fan ofthe JRPG genreand all it has to offer.

5Pirate Simulator
Not That Kind Of Digital Piracy
With a name like that, you know exactly what you’re getting into. True enough, Pirate Simulator shows you the world of scurvy and dabloons in a way only a sim game can do. Everyone has thought about getting a job plundering the high seas, and Pirate Simulator goes into some detail about all that entails.
Building a ship, creating a home base on a secluded island, finding a crew, and, of course, the plundering. All of this is at your fingertips. It doesn’t have all the multiplayer Skull And Bones has, but sometimes the pirate life is a quiet one.

4Monkey Island 2: LeChuck’s Revenge
“Is Guybrush A French Name?”
There aren’t many games that do so well at humor asMonkey Islanddoes. Which is impressive considering its age, but why else would it be a full-fledged pirate series now? While it lacks the impressive ship-based battles and explosive online fighting that Skull And Bones has, Monkey Island 2 does include plenty of adventure.
There are puzzles, an interesting story, and some humorous dialogue you’ll be quoting for some time. All of which is wrapped neatly in a pirate-themed package, which should be perfect to scratch that sea-itch.

3Sid Meier’s Pirates
Pirates And Tactics
Sid Meieris nearly a household name when it comes to simulators. Everything fromrunning a government to being a train conductor; they’ve covered it all. But, not the least of which is being a pirate.
Sid Meier’s Pirates has everything you could ever want from a pirate game. There are sea-based fights against other ships, duels between you and other pirate captains, and maybe even a chance encounter with some buried treasure. It holds up pretty well considering it came out in the early 2000s, but the older graphics shouldn’t hold you back.

2Sea Of Thieves
Art Meets The Sea
Whether it’s the unique art style or the ability to play as a pirate with your friends, there are a lot of reasons whySea Of Thievesshould be on your radar if you enjoy Skull And Bones. It’s easy to see how it was influenced by this earlier game.
While it is a more multiplayer-focused game, it can be played single-player after some updates that occurred later on in its life. Still yet, there’s nothing quite like taking on a vengeful shark or a band of skeletal pirates with a crew made up of your friends as they shoot cannons or cheer you on with instruments.

1Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag
Hoist The Sails
There are few games that deal with pirates that are as impressive and have as much of a cult following asAssassin’s Creed: Black Flag. It combines everyone’s favorite scallywags with the classic stealth-based gameplay that Assassin’s Creed fans have come to love.
While there is a pretty good storyline, most people find themselves enwrapped in the mostly open world and ship customization. Building a warship with money looted from captured or sunken enemy ships, all the while singing shanties with your mates; there’s nothing else quite like it.
