AnythingMariocan do,Soniccan do better. Okay, maybe not better, but if one of the video game mascots does something, the other will do its own version, usually pretty soon after. Sonic games came after Mario, and then three years after the live-action Sonic movie,Nintendoand Illumination’s Mario flick broke the billion-dollar barrier. Both now have their very ownLegocollections too with Mario kicking off that particular leg of their rivalry, while Sonic’s collection has grown one set bigger.
The newest set in the Sonic collection is a double-whammy for its BrickHeadz division. Sonic and Tails already have their own BrickHeadz sets - which can be brought separately - and they’ve now been joined by Shadow and Knuckles. The key difference with the new set is Knuckles and Shadow can only be bought together as a part of one set.

The set is $19.99, so the same price as buying two BrickHeadz figures separately, and is available now through the link in the box below at the Lego store. You may also be able to find the set in physical Lego stores very soon. Made up of just shy of 300 pieces, once complete, you will have Shadow and Knuckles in Lego form to add to your collection, each of them coming with their own Lego platform.
Knuckles & Shadow Sonic Lego BrickHeadz
Knuckles and Shadow have been turned into BrickHeadz sets as part of Sonic’s growing Lego collection. The two characters are only available as a pair and are made up of 298 pieces between them.
This is the third time in a few months that the Lego spotlight has fallen on Shadow and Knuckles. At the end of 2023,a Shadow’s Escape setfeaturing the very first Shadow Minifigure was added to the Lego store, and thenKnuckles for the same treatment to kick off 2024, complete with a mech for the world’s most famous echidna. Now the two of them have their own BrickHeadz, and there’s a very good reason why the pair has been getting so much attention.
Well, actually, there’s a couple. Knuckles will be getting his very own live-action TV show in 2024, spinning off from his big-screen debut in Sonic the Hedgehog 2. After that, the cinematic focus moves to Shadow who will be a big part of Sonic 3.Shadow will also star in Sonic x Shadow Generationsthis fall andhas been added to Sonic Superstars via a new outfit. Sonic fans have alreadydubbed 2024 the Year of Shadow, and it’s easy to see why.
