Early Game Items To Buy

It’s a good idea to play into your survivability with the Pyromancer to give you more time later on to build up your Dragon army.

Here’s a list of a few of the items you should pick up during the first few rounds.

Sword

You’ll want to turn your Sword into aTorchwith aLump of Coalfrom the shop, then transform it with aFlameinto aBurning Torch. This will give you some good early game momentum and a slot for your gems.

The Box Of Riches provides one freegemper turn, but also lets you purchase gems from the shop.

Flames

These are the bread and butter of your early game Pyromancer build. Pick them up. They’re usually only one Gold and can provide temporary buffs until you sell them later on.

The Fanny Pack is a two-slot backpack that improves trigger speed on any item inside. You can stack these on top of each other to provide 20% improved trigger speed for your Dragons. Mid-Game, Getting Your Dragons

The Dragon Nest becomes available at the start of round 8, which is when you get to pick your subclass. The Pyromancer has plenty of useful options here, but Dragons rule.

Grab the Dragon Nest before you start rolling for Eggs, as the Dragon Nest will increase the odds of finding Eggs and allows you to purchase different types of Egg.

This is where you should also start to slot your gems into the Dragons - Topaz for Attack Speed and Ruby for Lifesteal work brilliantly. You should pick these up from the shop if you see them, and combine them in your backpack if you manage to get any free ones from Box Of Riches.

Then it’s simple: stack your Dragons, you can have up tosix Dragonsoptimally placed around your Dragon Nest.

Make sure to grabDraconic Orbswhenever you see them - not only do they counterSpike buildsand help you generateHeatall on their own, you’ll also need them to evolve yourRuby Whelps.

Late-Game

Once you’ve got into the late game and have your Dragons stacked, you can get some meta items, like theDjinn LamporGlowing Crown. Getting through the Survival Rounds really comes down to having the best gems slotted in your Dragons.
