Summary

Promotional footage used for theMultiVersusNHL Face-Off match has confirmed that Finn is getting a new skin with his robot arm and Night Sword.

We’ve all been waiting a very long time for MultiVersus to make its grand returnafter itsless-than-grand exit last year, but it’s fair to say thatlast month’s re-reveal wasn’t as exciting as we all hoped. While thenew stages look great and the promised gameplay reveals are exciting, the one thing we all wanted to see was new characters.

Since the re-reveal, we’ve still not hadmanyhints towards who might be coming to the game, but we do at least have confirmation of a heavily requested skin for one of the returning fighters - Finn the Human, who is finally getting his robotic arm and a fan-favourite sword from the later seasons of Adventure Time.

Finn Is Finally Getting His Most Iconic Look In MultiVersus

As of the time of writing, the MultiVersus and NHL Face-Off event is still ongoing and, while we haven’t had a character reveal just yet (fingers crossed!), we have at least been getting a close look at the character models and seeing them in action. Ice hockey action, but it’s good enough after going a year without seeing the MultiVersus characters.

The promotions for the NHL Face-Off have also revealed a very interesting detail for Adventure Time fans.As pointed out by Twitter user and reliable MultiVersus leaker AusilMV, one of the adverts for the event shows a new skin for Finn that has his robotic arm from the later seasons of Adventure Time, something that fans have been wanting to see since the game was first announced.

Now we just need Steven to get his iconic pink jacket and all will be right with the world.

That’s not all, though, as the promotional footage also showed Finn using his Night Sword, one of the later weapons he wields in Adventure Time. It’s a little hard to spot since it was shown as part of his shadow, but it certainly looks to be the sword everyone has been asking about. Putting the pieces of the puzzle together, it seems like Finn will get a new skin at launch featuring the Night Sword and his robotic arm.

Outside of the new skin for Finn (say that five times fast), we also got several new gameplay clips that confirm parries are a new mechanic in the game and ease some worries about matches being made much slower. It’s not quite the same as a character reveal, but that could still come at the end of the match.
