MultiVersusfans are hopeful that we’ll finally see the game re-revealed this month, and there’s a surprising amount of evidence supporting that idea.
2023 might have been a bad year for MultiVersusfans after the game had aglacial second seasonand was thentaken offline with the promise of a relaunch at a later date, but 2024 has arguably been just as painful.The MultiVersus community has been getting its hopes up every other week for some kind of announcementor hint at when we can see more of the game, only to be left with silence.
You’d think that after so many letdowns fans would give up on the game and just let Player First Games quietly cook until it’s ready, but that’s not the case. In fact, thanks to a surprising amount of evidence,fans seem more certain than ever beforethat March is when we’re finally going to see what the future of MultiVersus has in store.
Over on Twitter, reliable MultiVersus insider multiversusie, who previously provided leaks and datamines when the game was active, has been posting quite frequently about their hopes for a re-reveal in the near future. After predicting that we might see the game in February, they’ve now turned their hopes to March, saying, “March finally feels like the right time, and also the perfect time for something to finally happen”.
They’re not the only ones either,as YouTuber Papa Genos also supported the idea of MultiVerus making a comeback at some point over the next few weeks, pointing out that the game needs to generate some kind of money soon and that it can’t be on hiatus forever.That hits extra hard considering how Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League performed.
“Can’t say for certain it’s this month (hard to say anything for certain about this game) but I think it’s fairly likely we’ll see something soon”,
That’s a pretty decent point on its own, but it’s not the only thing backing up a potential re-reveal for MultiVersus in March. For starters,Player First Games promised back in Decemberthat we’d be hearing about it in “the coming months”, which lines up well with March considering how long ago that was.
The biggest bit of evidence for the re-reveal happening this month is thepromotion with McDonald’s that popped up in Europe in December. After a limited release that wasn’t advertised by Warner Bros. at all, that promotion is going to be hitting the US in March, which means that it’s the perfect time for the game to be re-revealed.
Combine that with two new store apps related to MultiVersus recently popping up on Steam, and it certainly seems like something is in the works for the game and likely to be revealed this month. Now feel free to bookmark this and make fun of me when we get to April and still haven’t heard anything…
