We’re approaching the seventh anniversary of the release of the lastMass Effectgame. Even longer if, like a lot of Mass Effect fans, you don’t really considerAndromedaa satisfying continuation of the original trilogy. Even worse, despiteBiowareconfirming there’s more Mass Effect coming, it will likely be years before we revisit the series. If you’re on the hunt for something, anything to fill the Mass Effect-shaped hole in your life until then, might I suggest the new cocktail book releasing later this year?
Published by Insight Editions, the official Mass Effect Cocktail Book features recipes for more than 70 different drinks, all of which have been inspired by the futuristic world in which the games take place. Designed to make the drinkers of these beverages feel as if they’re patrons in Omega’s Afterlife Club, or kicking back in the Dark Star Lounge on the Citadel, even though the book won’t be released until June 30, 2025, you can place your pre-orders on Amazon through the link in the box below right now.

Before you complain about the lack of imagination put into the names of the drinks previewed on the store page, don’t worry, the recipes haven’t just been numbered instead of being given proper titles. You’ll also notice the placeholder text on every page is identical, and all appear to be in Latin, although I might be wrong, my Latin is a little rusty.
Mass Effect: The Official Cocktail Book
Mass Effect’s official cocktail book is filled with drinks recipes inspired by beverages from the iconic sci-fi series. 70 of them, in fact, all of which are supposed to look and taste like they could be served in bars on the Citadel and sipped on the Normandy.
While an official product from the creators of Mass Effect, Bioware has recruited publishers Insight Editions to help it bring this cocktail book to life. Insight has a lot of experience putting together video game cookbooks, some of which I own and use on a semi-regular basis. Semi-regular because as delicious as everything I’ve made from My Pokemon Baking Book is, eating Igglybuff cupcakes every single day probably isn’t advised.
Bioware released a teaser for the next Mass Effect gameon November 7 last year, one that showed little more than someone walking down a corridor. That was enough to send Mass Effect fans into a state of panic, but despite the teaser, it still seems likely the wait for the next game will be a long one.One expert predicts it could be 2029 when the next Mass Effect game is finally released. With the wait forDragon Age Dreadwolfongoing, sadly, 2029 doesn’t seem all that unlikely.
