While each deck contains everything you need to play MTG along with 100 cards, more than a third of which are entirely new to MTG, the theme will be dictated by which deck you choose. The Hail Ceasar deck, for example, includes a Legion’s Emporer card to lead you into battle. The Scrappy Survivors Commander Deck switches things up with an Ever Loyal card as its headliner, putting Fallout’s lovable pooch Dogmeat front and center.

Universes Beyond is all about bringing different series and franchises to MTG. Some heavy hitters, including Jurassic Park, Dr. Who, and Lord of the Rings, have already made their mark on the tabletop game.Lord of the Ringscaused the biggest stir so far as the set included a One Ring card that was one of a kind. Once it was found, the card was sold to Post Malone for $2 million, and not the fan who wanted to throw it into an active volcano Frodo-style.

As for Fallout, the iconic video game series is getting a lot of attention right now even though Fallout 5 feels as far away as it ever has. That’s because its Amazon Prime adaptation begins soon, and hype for the show is pretty high. We’ll see if that hype is sustained once the show drops after its creator recently admittedtrying to please fans is a fool’s errand.
