Hopefully your team didn’t take too much damage during the fight against the Hierophant Full Moon boss Shadow inPersona 3 Reload- you won’t be afforded the chance to change out your party members before you’re on to fighting Lovers. You’ll have time to heal, but your party is coming along.
Ahead of you all is Arcana Lovers, the fifth Full Moon Shadow you’ll face in P3R, and it’s not going down as easily as Hierophant. With some powerful Fire magic and the determination to Charm the pants off the party, you’ve got quite a fight ahead of you

This guide contains spoilers for the Lovers Full Moon battle in July of Persona 3 Reload.
Break Mirrors Without Reflections To Find Lovers
The battle with Lovers begins immediately after you’ve defeated Hierophant on7/6- so immediately that youcan’t change your partybetween the battles. Check out our guide to the Hierophant Full Moon battle for full party recommendations.
After defeating Hierophant and finding thatthe door is locked, you’ll need toinvestigate the mirrornearby and acknowledge that there’s a difference between the two - in one,you don’t have a reflection.Keep this in mind, as it’ll help after a long series of cutscenes, but for now, break the mirrorto proceed on.

You’ll find yourself in a hotel room with Yukari on the first floor, so exit as soon as you’re able togo back to the hallto rejoin the rest of your party so that Fuuka can tell you all that the Lovers arcana is still in the room where you fought Hierophant, but that now, you’ll need toregain accessto the room.
To do so, you’ll need to explore the third floor of the hotel andfind other mirrors that don’t have a reflectionin the rooms. The tutorial for this is in Rooms 204 and 205, with chatter between teammates about which mirror to break.

Break the one that doesn’t have a reflectionto be allowed to move upstairs to the third floor again, where you’ll need to find another mirror without a reflection to break to get into the room where the battle will take place.
The mirror you’re looking for is inRoom 304, so dispell it andreturn to the boss room.

Battle Guide
While the Hierophant Shadow was intent to inflict your party with Fear, Lovers, on the other hand, if you couldn’t guess by the heart motif, has plenty of ways up its sleep toinflict Charm onto the party.
Not only doCharmed teammates attack the party or heal the Shadow, but to make things worse, Lovers has a move that can insta-kill those who’ve been Charmed. Throughout the battle,Lovers focuses on inflicting Charmover damage for the majority of the battle, usingHeartbreakerafter inflicting Charm toinsta-kill anyone with Charm.
For the most part, it willtry to inflict Charmon the party and thenimmediately follow it up with Heartbreakerto capitalize on the Charm, so be sure to keep the party in good health throughout. Once its HP begins to run low, though, Lovers will start tossingAgidyneinto the mix of its moves, switching focus to outright damage-dealing.
If Mitsuru is in the party, Lovers seems to target her, so hopefully, you’ve left her back outside with Fuuka.
Once again,Patrais an essential skill to have for dispelling Charm for your teammates, so be sure to heal Yukari with priority if limited on items to allow her to use Patra to cure other Charmed teammates on her turn.
Finally, just remember touse your Theurgy attacks liberallyas soon as they’re ready and your teammates are able, but keep in mind that you’ll lose half your Theurgy gauge if you’re KOed, so use them sooner than later. Outside that, the battle will be an outright damage exchange until finally, Lovers is defeated and the Full Moon mission ends.
