Summary

The second closed beta test forKingdom Hearts: Missing Link(which is the first chance forAndroidusers to play the game) has been delayed from the end of April to the start of May.

Although 2024 has been very dry when it comes toKingdom Heartsnews (with fans begging for any kind of update when the 22nd anniversary of the series rolled around last month), we have at least been held together with the hope that Missing Link is on the distant horizon, especially after it wasconfirmed that a second closed beta test would be happening this month.

If you were pinning your hopes on Missing Link finally becoming playable sooner rather than later, then I have some bad news for you, as that closed beta test for Android devices has suddenly been hit with a last-minute delay. If you’ve got a Samsung, it looks like you’ll be waiting a little longer to try the game out, if you even get into the limited beta at all.

As announced by the official Kingdom Hearts Missing Link Japanese Twitter account, the second closed beta test for the game, which was supposed to start on April 25 and run until May 2, has been pushed back a little bit. The new starting date for the closed beta is May 2 until May 10, which means that it’s been delayed by roughly a week.

In fairness, that’s not much of a delay at all in the grand scheme of things, but considering how long fans have been waiting for any kind of update on the future of Kingdom Hearts, it is notable. The official Twitter account sincerely apologised for the delay and said that it was to “allow more users to enjoy the improved game in more environments"after responding to feedback from the last test.

There is a bit of a silver lining to the whole situation, though, as the Twitter account revealed that it will conduct the second closed beta test for iOS users at the same time as the Android ones due to the delay. Recruitment for this second test will begin on April 22 and is said to run at the same time as the Android test, so it looks like all mobile users will get a chance to play on May 2.
