EnshroudedandPalworldare both survival crafting games, with both games launching within the same week in January 2024. Due to this closeness, you might be asking yourself, which one is better? If you had to pick one of these games, which would it be?

While these games are different in terms of content and end goal, you may still be deciding which one to play first. Here, we are going to help you get to the bottom of this question. We are going to compare both games, allowing you to decide which one is worthy of your time first.

Both Palworld and Enshrouded are in Early Access. In the future, content within these games may change or be expanded upon!

8Graphics - Enshrouded

There is no denying that Enshrouded is a beautiful game. Buildings and structures are grand and realistic, and the lighting in the world adds more realism. On higher settings, Enshrouded looks like real life.

While Palworld does go for a cartoony style, it does suffer from bugs and graphic issues. In Palworld, you are more likely to see a visual bug that doesn’t fit in with the rest of the world.

7Monster/Enemy Variations - Palworld

Palworld is a monster-catching game, so it makes sense that there is more monster and enemy variation. In total, you can find137 Pals in Palworld. This is a lot more than the total types of enemies found in Enshrouded.

While the concept of ‘monster’ is different for these games, it’s worth noting that if you like to face a variety of enemies and opponents, then Enshrouded will not scratch that itch.

6Building Variation - Enshrouded

Building can be done in both Enshrouded and Palworld, but it’s a bit more satisfying in Enshrouded. Whether you are building on a small or grand scale, building components fit together seamlessly, accounting for nearby pieces.

Gone are the days of walls clipping into each other. If a wall is near a section that blocks it, the placed wall will simply adjust, creating a new shape or detail. This helps create a realistic building worthy of a Flameborn hero.

5Content - Palworld

Enshrouded and Palworld both have large maps filled with a lot of content, but Palworld comes out on top in this comparison. In terms of the story, Palworld will take a bit longer to complete. If you are going for 100 percent completion, you arelooking at around 70 hours!

At times, Enshrouded can feel a bit linear and empty. Enemies can be few and far between sometimes, so you are just left to your own thoughts as you run through the world. With no Pals to catch, defeat, or train, it’s easy to come to a stand-still in terms of progression.

4Multiplayer Friendliness - Enshrouded

If you are deciding which game to play with a large group of friends, Enshrouded is the way to go.A server can support 16 peopleand doesn’t require any additional purchases. Unless, of course, you want to buy your own server space.

Palworld only supports four players at a time, so even if you have five people in a group, you will not be able to play together all at the same time. If you do happen to just have four people, then either game is a good choice.

3World Variation - Palworld

Both games have a variety of biomes for you to explore. Palworld has four, separated into many islands that you may visit. While Enshrouded has one more biome, you may find yourself feeling like they blend together.

For example, the Springlands and Low Meadows feel very similar. Revelwood is a forested area that provides some variation, but it still feels familiar, especially sincethe Shroud ties everything together.

2Difficulty - Enshrouded

Between Palworld and Enshrouded, the latter is more difficult. This can be a pro or a con depending on how relaxed you like to be while gaming. If you like a challenge, then Enshrouded is a worthy option; you may expect to die pretty frequently as you fight against strong enemies one-on-one.

If a difficult game isn’t up your alley, you can sit back and relax a bit more with Palworld. There are not enemies constantly running at you, as well as a biome that is designed to kill you. Enshrouded isn’t too difficult in the grand scope of things, but it’s definitely a step up from Palworld.
