One such item is theSealing Phial. Its description seems somewhat cryptic, and even poetic, yet it could not be more literal. It is an item that can, indeed, gobble people up. What exactly that entails, and how and when you should use it, is described below.
How To Unlock TheSealing Phial
TheSealing Phialis not a common item. In fact,there is only one of its kindin the entirety of the game and it is not something that is easy to acquire.
Hidden away in the secluded reaches of the world is the Sphinx, who will confound you with her riddles. An item acquired from one such riddle,The Riddle Of The Eyes, is theSealing Phial.
After completing the riddle, the Sphinx willallow you to keep theSealing Phialfor your own usage.
How To Use TheSealing Phial
Using theSealing Phialis actually quite simple, though the phrasing may make you wary to actually use it. Gobbling up a whole person doesn’t sound exactly safe for the person being gobbled.
Once you’re standing in front of someone, theSealing Phialwill give you a new option - Seal in Phial. This will trigger an animation of you taking out theSealing Phial, popping open the cork, and sucking whoever was in front of you into it, sealed away in your inventory.
Keep in mind who you actually trap in the phial as the game will only tell you it is filled,not who it is filled with.
To free your sealed individual, simplyinteract with theSealing Phialagain to break it,freeing who was inside. As the phrasing would indicate, this breaks the phial, meaningit can never be used again.
