The Vermund Vault is a secret room that can be accessed if you have the required key. You can also go inside this room if you can persuade the guard to abandon his post. Since this is found in Vernworth, the game’s early game section, the room contains useful treasures that should not be overlooked.
Where Is The Vermund Vault
You can find theVermund Vault on the east side of Vernworth Castle. A quick look at the castle’s map will reveal a U-shaped room.
To reach the Vermund Vault,go to the west side door from the main entranceof Vernworth Castle. This entrance is theDining Hall door that connects with the kitchen, a hallway, and stairs leading to the Vermund Vault.
How To Enter The Vermund Vault
There arethree ways to get inside the Vermund Vault:
Youneed theMakeshift Vault Keyto unlock the Vermund Vaultin the game. This can be acquired by visiting the Ancient Battleground, also part of theTolled To Rest Quest Walkthrough.
Thestairs end at a door with a guard named Azorkaposted there; he will not allow you to get past and will always tell you to leave this place immediately. However,Azorka appears only during the daytimeat this spot.
Even if you have the key to open the Vermund Vault, the guard will never allow you to go past him.Visiting this place at nightis theonly way to use the keyand open the door.
Can You Get Into The Vermund Vault Without The Key?
Yes,you can enter the Vermund Vault without the Makeshift Vault Key. For this, you must either kill the guard, lure him away from the post, or visit this section at night.
Tokill the guard, use a ranged weaponand then access the Vermund Vault. This is an aggressive way and must be approached with caution. If you are caught, you will be thrown into gaol.
Thenon-lethal method to enter the Vermund Vaultinvolves hurting the guard. You cantake a barrel from the kitchenandthrow it at the guardto distract him.
He will come running at you, and then you can grab and toss him at the door outside the kitchen. Runback faster,and you canenter the Vermund Vault without a key.
The last method involvesvisiting at midnight when Disa goes through the Vermund Vault,and you can sneak inside by being stealthy. If you are spotted, the guards will throw you into gaol.
