Modern Warfare 3 SOA Subverter Battle Rifle

Updated Aug 03, 2025, by Charles Burgar:The second season of Modern Warfare 3 has finally released all of its new content, including a handful of new weapons, numerous conversion kits, and a few aftermarket parts. We’ve updated this guide to explain how you can acquire every new item released through MW3’s Weekly Challenge system and mid-season Battle Pass Sector.

Season 2 Weapons

This season featuresfour new weaponsfor players to earn. Two weapons are tied to the Battle Pass and can be earned immediately. The other two weapons will become available throughout the season.

Weapon Inspiration

FN F2000

The BP50 is available fromSector B7 in the Battle Pass. This bullpup assault rifle features best-in-class mobility and minimal recoil, although it suffers from poor base range and a low headshot multiplier.Use this weapon like an AR/SMG hybrid for optimal results. It is directly inspired by the FN F2000, notably seen in Modern Warfare 2 (2009). It also functions identically to the BP50 seen in CoD Vanguard.

IWI X95

This SMG variant of the RAM-7 can be found inSector B6 in the Battle Pass. The RAM-9 is chambered in 9mm, sacrificing effective range for a faster RPM and better mobility stats. It has asimilar recoil pattern to the RAM-7, so recoil mitigation attachments are highly recommended. The RAM-9 is inspired by the IWI X95, more commonly known as the MTAR.

ARX 200

Modern Warfare 3 BP50 Assault Rifle

Inspired by the Beretta ARX 200, the SOA Subverter is a battle rifle chambered in 7.62 that can beearned by completing five challenges in the Week 5 challenge set for Season 2.This weapon has best-in-class fire rate and excellent damage, but it has poor mobility. Build this weapon for accuracy for optimal results.

N/A

The Soulrender is the first sword to grace Modern Warfare 3’s sandbox. It can be earnedthrough Sector B21 in the Battle Pass. You’ll need to complete every challenge in that Sector to unlock the Soulrender; it’s not unlocked through tokens.

The weapon has a unique guard stance feature that can be activated by holding the fire input. Releasing the input will instantly slash your opponent, bypassing Riot Shields. Beyond that, it’s a solid option for players who prefer heavy melee weapons over knives. It also has best-in-class mobility stats for a larger melee weapon, rivaling the speed of most combat knives.

Armory Challenges (5 Daily Challenges)

While no new killstreaks were added this season, a new vest has been added for use in Multiplayer. The Ninja Vest grants the effects of Covert Sneakers, freeing up your boot and gear slot for another perk.It also makes youimmune to movement reduction effects, notably Stun Grenades. While you give up a glove perk with the Ninja Vest, these bonuses are more than worth it.

you may unlock the Ninja Vest by completing five Daily Challenges. You must first select the Ninja Vest in your Create-A-Class menu for your challenge progress to track. Challenges completed in any mode—Multiplayer, Warzone, and MWZ—all contribute to unlocking the Ninja Vest.

The Ninja Vest is banned in Ranked Play. You may only use it in unranked Multiplayer.

Aftermarket Parts

The second season of MW3 featuresseven new Aftermarket Parts to unlock, most of which areearned through Weekly Challenges. The only exception is the JAK Burnout Kit, an Aftermarket Part for the Holger 26 that’s available in Sector B21 of the Battle Pass.

For every other part, you’re able to check if the Aftermarket Part is available through the Weekly Challenges menu.Open the menu on the top-right of the lobby screen, select “Challenges,” then view your Weekly Challenges to see which attachments are currently available. A new attachment or weapon will become available every Wednesday for the first eight weeks of the season.

Conversion Kit

Effect

Greatly increases the weapon’s RPM, but recoil is increased as you hold the trigger.

Compatible With

Holger 26

The JAK Burnout attachment is a conversion kit for the Holger 26,drastically increasing its fire rate in exchange for an overheat mechanic. The longer you hold the trigger, the hotter your weapon’s barrel will get, gradually increasing the recoil incurred with each shot. Hold down the trigger for an extended period, and the Holger 26 will become extremely difficult to control. Fire the weapon in bursts to mitigate this downside.

Modifies the receiver to accept 7.62 BLK ammo, increasing the weapon’s damage at the cost of RPM.

Longbow

Longbow users can install the JAK Tyrant 762 conversion kit, swapping the weapon’s ammo type to 7.62 BLK.This increases the Longbow’s damage by roughly 17%, but it halves the weapon’s effective range and bullet velocity. It also lowers the Longbow’s RPM slightly.

Installs a larger magazine and dual-barrel functionality, firing two bullets with every shot.

Holger 556

The JAK Backsaw Kitworks identically to theJAK Ettin Kit the AMR9 received last season. The Holger 556 gains a large magazine and fires twice as many bullets. This comes at the cost of base damage and RPM, although the dual-barrel design does lead to a lower TTK potential. Installing this conversion kit locks your muzzle, underbarrel, and barrel options.

Underbarrel Attachment

Installs a miniature chainsaw under your weapon. Behaves similar to a melee weapon.

Weapons that accept underbarrel launchers.

Turn your favorite CoD weapon into the Lancer from Gears of War with the JAK Limb Ripper. This is anunderbarrel attachment that adds a chainsaw to your weapon, giving you a powerful melee attack that can eliminate targets in a single hit. Both quick melee swings and underbarrel chainsaw usage will one-hit kill.

Haymaker

The JAK Maglift Kitgives the Haymaker a binary trigger, firing a shell every time you pull or release the trigger. It behaves identically to the COR-45’s conversion kit, resulting in a far shorter TTK potential. It also installs a massive .410 drum mag onto the Haymaker, allowing you to unload a hailstorm of lead at your foes. This does come with the downside of reduced mobility and handling stats, however.

Converts the weapon into a lever-action rifle. Greatly improves accuracy at the cost of RPM.

BAS-B

The JAK Outlaw-277 Kit might be the strangest conversion kit yet in MW3.This attachment converts the BAS-B into a lever-action rifle, similar to MW2’s Lockwood MK2. This attachment massively improves the damage of the BAS-B, giving it the damage profile of a sniper rifle.

Additionally, firing from the hip is faster than firing while ADS.Even with that gimmick, we still recommend building this similarly to the Longbow for optimal results in Multiplayer and Warzone.

The JAK Glassless Optic is a callback to the red dot sight seen in Advanced Warfare. This reflex sight projects a small dot and grants a stack of firing aim stability. This comes with a minor nerf to your ADS speed, roughly 2%.
