Building a powerful and versatile army is a very important part of success inUnicorn Overlord. Everything from your equipment to your formation construction contributes to your strategies, and honing and refining your skills and knowledge is very important if you want to have a smooth journey through the land of Fevrith and its challenges.
A character’s class is a vital part of their performance on the battlefield, and it’s possible to promote many of them - promotions turn one class into a more powerful version, adding skills, AP, and PP; but how exactly do you unlock the ability to promote your characters?
How To Unlock Promotions
Like many features linked to your army and its performance, the ability to promote your units' classes is tied to yourRenown level. To be able to promote to your classes, you will need to reachRenown Rank B. This requires a great amount of Renown, so if you’re eager to promote your units, ensure you’re fulfilling every Restoration Request and completing every side quest and liberation quest you come across.
Once you’ve reached Renown Rank B, you canpromote your units at any Fort in the game.
Promotion requires Honors - from25(for the most basic classes) to50(for characters with unique classes, like Alain and Scarlett). It’s a very good idea toprioritise promotions for those characters you use often, as promotion provides an instant bonus to both AP and PP. Above all else, we recommendpromoting Alain as soon as possible- this will provide him with a horse, which makes him fast both in battle and on the overworld.
