There’s a lot to do inPersona 3 Reload. More so than any prior version of this seminal game, in fact. And one of the coolest additions,SEES Activities, serves multiple purposes. First, it lets you build up your party’s Theurgy Characteristics. Which is great! Plus, Social Link stats boosts!

But arguably more importantly for all us Persona diehards, we get to hang out with our buds. And since Reload hasn’t added male Social Links for the male-only protagonist, you might think you’re getting short-changed - until you see how much bonding you’ll get in with Akihiko and the other guys through this.

Persona 3 Reload SEES Actiivities Explanation

What Are SEES Activities?

SEES Activities allow you to spend your evening action tobuild your bonds with other party members. And, since modern Persona games emphasize the chance to work on multiple aspects of the game at once - which is good, since daytime and evening actions are both precious - you’ll get more practical benefits as well.

When you decide to hang out with someone, the activity that they choose will raise a specific Social Stat; this boost won’t be as big as, say, ordering a Seafood Platter, but you’re doing far more in one fell swoop.

Which isn’t to say you shouldn’t order a Seafood Platter; just knowyou’ll gain several things with SEES Activities.Other than Social Stats, repeatedly interactingwith a SEES team member grants thema new Theurgy Characteristic.

In other words, they gain a second way to heighten their Theurgy Gauge, effectively doubling the opportunities to trigger Theurgy attacks during combat.

The actions available to you are custom-tailored to your party’s individual interests, althoughthere is overlapbetween them. That said, the overlapping activities have their own flavor. For example,Fuuka will suggest the two of you spend time reading sci-fi manga, whereasMitsuru’s more into biographiesand such.

This is a work in progress, since, as of this writing, we’re only in early October! Also, be advised, spoilers for the party members who join in Persona 3 Reloadare included here. Kind of hard to avoid!

Major And Limited-Time SEES Activities

In addition to the dorm-related SEES Activities, there are alsomajor eventsandlimited-time events. The former will provideeven deeper appreciation for the characters as well as new skills. The latter canraise Social Stats. They are also frequently hilarious.

For the major events, you’ll see a dual-exclamation-mark icon on the mapwherever the character may be. Some occur during the day, while others are at night, so keep an eye on that map.

If you don’t engage in a major event when it’s first available, don’t worry. You can do so at the next opportunity, and the character’s arc within them will simply remain in stasis until you progress. Just remember, there are only so many days in the game!

Limited-time events are tied to, well,limited-time events in the city. Some offer you a chance to deepen bonds withfemale Social Links with whom you may progress toward a romance, while others, like theweek with lots of movies playing, let you pick someone new every day to accompany you. It’s good fun, trust us.
