If you’ve made it to Chapter Six inPortal: Revolution, the game-sizedPortal 2mod, you’ll likely be pretty good at understanding puzzles. Even still, this section is one of the more challenging that you’ll have encountered thus far and exponentially builds on the complexity of the test chambers.
With the introduction of white paint and the freedom it offers, you’ll need to expand on the way you think about each puzzle. That being said, the solutions are there and ready to be found for those with the capacity to use their portals to think outside the box.

Vacuum Tubes Reinforcement
Once the elevator stops,place the blue Personality Sphere on the railabove you on the right. Then,shoot a portal next to you and one through the doorthat sits barely ajar. Go through the portal and thenfollow the available path through the openingin the wall.
Once in the test chamber,shoot a portal underneath the cube dispenserand then dispense a cube. Either shoot the other color portal on the lower level ortake the cube down thereandplace it on the button. Take the stairs andshoot the lower portal color onto the markingunderneath the vacuum tube.

When youdispense a cube, it should go through the portal with enough force tosend it into the vacuum tube. This will take it to the next section, where you canplace it on the button and exit. Continue along the path until you cango through a broken window, then take a right.
Once you can’t walk any further,shoot a wall slightly ahead of youand then look up and to the right toshoot one above the rail walkway. Follow that until you get through a circular door to end this section.

Spire Climb
Continue walking along the available path until you see a white wall in front of you.Shoot a portal on itandthe opposite color on the wall across the waterto your left. Go through it and thenfollow the path through the doorand into the energy field of the next test chamber.
Once inside,shoot a portal underneath the orange gelonce it starts flowing andthe other color on the wall to your rightin front of the ramp. Once enough orange gel is covering the runway,shoot the portal under the dispenser onto the slanted wallahead of it. Then,use the gel to run throughand launch yourself.

Once on the railing,go into the room on your right and turn off the powerwhile alsoshooting the slanted wall portal color insidethis room. Go through the portal you placed inside the room anduse it to launch yourself across the gap, utilizing the ramp. Once on that side,shoot the portal on the lower wallthere.
Go back through andturn the power on, which willopen the exit doors after a brief scene. In the next area, you’ll need towait about 10 seconds for the blue Personality Sphereto show up and light the way for you. To get through the dark sections of the office, you cansimply follow their lights as you move.

Once through the energy field,shoot a portal on the wall to your rightin the large open office area.Shoot the opposite color through the wall in the ajar doorsbeforegoing through the broken window. Crouch through the air vent until you can fall through the ceilingon your left. Continue walking up the stairs and wait for the scene to finish.
Once it has,one of the railings at the end will falland let you pass. Continue to the wall in front of you,shooting one portal into itandthe other across the water. Go up the stairs andshoot a portal into the wallthrough the window before jumping down andshooting the other color on the wall. Go through and out of the room.

Follow the path until you reacha door with a valve handle, revealing a tall tower.Shoot one portal on the groundand thenone on the white wall next to a railingabove you. Go through andstand on the railbefore going through.Shoot the portal color behind youon the slanted wall, thenfall through one on the floorto launch yourself.
Repeat this processwith the flat wall, which will take you to the next level.Turn the valve to send blue gelonto the two walls and thenuse them to bounce upwardsback and forth when it finishes pouring. Take the door andshoot a portal into the high wall on your sideof the gap. Then,fall through another portal on the groundto launch.

Once across,shoot a portal on the slanted wallandthe other color on the wall where you came from.Use the opposite color to fall through the bottomand launch yourself again.
Make sure toremember the portal color on the slanted wall.
Go straight until you enter the conference room. Shoota portal through the broken windowon the far right side andthe other on the wall in that room. Go through and take a left to continue down the hallway. Continue walking until you get to the Garbage Tube room.
Shoot one portal on your sideof the gate and theother on the pillaron the opposite side.Turn on the powerand go through before you jump into the Garbage Tubeto complete this section.

Vacuum Tube Reversal
Once dropped from the tube, you’ll want toshoot a blue portal on the ground levelandone next to the button on the raised platform. Take the cube through andplace it on the buttonas close to the portal as you can.Go up the stairs and into the chamberbetween the two doors.
Shoot the lower level portal under the vacuum tubeto send the portal off the button, opening the second door.Leave the chamberand continue along the railway through a circular door.Shoot one portal on the lower levelandone on the level to your left.
Gothrough the circular doorandonto the elevatorto complete this section.
Vacuum Tube Gel Pipes
Once off the elevator, continue through the test chamber door. For this test, you need towait until the ball is right about to go through the tractor beamlocation before activating it with the button, sinceit will be a matter of timingand not a use of portals. Once the ball is on your side,place it in the receptacle.
Go through the energy field andcrouch to get through a ventand crawlspaceinto another office.Follow the rail walkwayuntil you get to the room that opens up. When the orange gel begins shooting out of the pipe beside you,stand on the button and then get off to coat the walkway. Then,shoot a portal into the wallat the end andone on the slanted wall.
Fun Fact:The orange and blue gels are based on similar abilities from a game called Tag: The Power of Paint. Valve later hired the developers of that game and brought them on board for the development of Portal 2.
Launch yourself into the second area byrunning through the portaland thenhit the power switchto change the gel distribution. Shoot one portal on the raised platformin front of the power switch andthe other on the wall behind the blue dripping dispenser. Once coated,use the orange and blue gels to run and bounceacross the gap.
Once across, go up the stairs and through the energy field. When you get to the hole in the floor,jump down onto the blue gel belowand thenhold the ‘Walk Forward’ button or joystickto move onto the other side of the gap. Go through the large metal doors andonto the yellow elevatorto end the section.
Vacuum Tube Gel Bending
Get off the elevator and walk into the next test chamber. Once the gel starts coming out,shoot a portal onto where it landson the slanted wall andone above the tube behind you. Next,stand on the buttonto coat the walkway with gel using the reverse vacuum. Youmay need to step on and off the buttonto really coat the runway.
Once coated, use the runway and ramp to get across the gap. Go through the energy field and get on the yellow square elevator at the end of the walkway. When you enter the next test chamber,shoot a portal on the wall to your rightand thenone on the second level, which is right of that wall. Go through andstand on the button.
Next,shoot one color portal under the white paint dispenserandthe other on the slanted wall, coating the tall wall with white paint. After that,shoot a portal under the blue dispenserand oneon the newly white wall, which should coat the center square with blue gel. Then,place the portal on the tall wall on the slanted one, whichwill coat the white wall with blue gel.
Once that’s finished, you canget off the buttonand head to the lower level.Shoot one portal under the orange dispenserandanother on the wall on the lower level, creating a runway. Once coated,shoot the opposite color on the slanted wallto launch yourself. This will cause a chain reaction that will put you on the railing.
Once through the door, keep walking toget on the yellow elevator and finishthe section.
Conversion Gel Climb
Once off the elevator, continue along the available path andthrough the metal doors, which open into a giant room.Shoot a portal underneath the white paint dispenserand make a note of what color that is.Use the opposite color on the flooron the opposite side of where you walked in,underneath a rail staircase.
Alternate shooting white paint on the walls higher and higher, using each new spot of paint as a wall. Once it gets to the bar on top of the right platform,use that to get on top of the large squarestructure by going through the portal under the dispenser. Once on top,continue using paint to coat the topof it.
Once there’s enough on top,angle the paint so it shoots across the gap and onto the far wall. Alternate until you’re able to use paint to coat the metal bars or the ceiling, then shoot a portal on it to get across. Once there, walk over to the left side, shoot a portal on the slanted wall,and stand on the button.
When on the button,shoot the opposite color of the portal you used onto the coverunder the dispenser. When you step off the button, this portal will disappear. Once the far wall across from your first portal has been coated,use the opposite color on the wall to get up there. Take the cube and place it on the button.
After the cover moves,place a portal on it to receive a straight stream of white paint. Use it to get up to the third level, thencoat a wall and the floor next to the edge. Once that’s finished,shoot a portal of one color near the edge. Remove the cube from the button andshoot the opposite color under the original dispenser.
Go back through that portal to the top area andaim the gel off the edge to coat the ceilingabove the railing. Thenshoot a portal to go through, following the railed pathway to theyellow elevator that serves as the section’s end.
Vacuum Tube Flings
Once off the elevator and inside the office,shoot a portal on the wall through the ventandone on the white section of the floorto get past.Follow the path onto the yellow elevatorwith a big red button that takes you to the test chamber. Once off the elevator,go through both energy fields and behind the wallnext to the large red button.
Dispense a cube,place it on the buttonon the other side of the wall, andshoot a portal on the wall behind it. Shootanother on the second-level wall behind youand go through.Stand on the large red buttonandshoot the opposite color from behind the cubeunder the vacuum. This will send the cube flying into the tractor beam.
Once the cube is above the section blocked by the energy field,drop it. Then,jump down and place that cube on the red buttonin that area. Once finished,use portals to get back on the second level. Next,shoot one portal across from the tractor beamandthe other on the mid-level wall across the water.
Press the button on the pedestalandimmediately step on the large red buttonto pull a cube through the beam to your side of the water. Once it’s safe,use portals to take it back to the buttonyou were just standing on.
Finally,jump down and shoot a portal across from the tractor beamandone into the wall painted whiteacross from the exit door. This tractor beam will take you immediately to the exit, which leads to a path witha white tube elevatorat the end.
Vacuum Tube Examination
Once off the elevator, continue through the door and along the railed path.Shoot a portal on the first wall on your rightand thenanother past the railing onto the solid structure. Once on solid ground,shoot a portal on the white wallabove the grated rectangleandanother on the wall next to youto get over there.
Next,aim through the grate to shoot one portal on the floorin the distance andthe opposite color into the floor underneath you, making note of that color. Fall through the portal tolaunch yourselfand use the color you took note of on the high wallbefore going back through. This will launch you across the large gap.
Continue walking until you get into a room with a large tube that you may jump into. It will take you to an area with a large red button and a smaller one, but you can ignore both for now.Jump off the ledgeto the side andwalk toward the large and small buttonson that level.
Shoot one portal on the target to the leftof the small button andone portal on the wall above and across from you. Then,press the small button to launch a cubeinto the bullseye portal and over to you. Place the cube on the button to create a light bridge.Place a portal at the end of itandone on the bullseye.
Jump down onto the light bridge, which should extend to the launcher now, and walk to the end. Once against the wall, turn around andshoot the color at the end of the light bridge onto the white wallthrough the grated area. This will make the light bridge disappear andlaunch you through the portals.
Once through the tube,press the small button to make a cube gothrough the same journey. When it gets to you,place it on the button to open the exit. Go through the door, wait for the Blue Personality Sphere to drop, and thenget on the elevator with itto end this chapter.
You don’t actually have to catch the personality sphere, but letting it fall will not result in extra secret dialogue.
